Houston based artist CHAMILLIONAIRE a.k.a KOOPA who has sold more than 150 thousand units Independent and whose last mixtape sold more than 40 thousand units in the first month has signed a multi-million dollar deal for his label CHAMILLITARY ENTERTAINMENT to partner up with UNIVERSAL RECORDS. The joint venture was negotiated by Chamillionaire's recently signed manager Charles Chavez of Houston's Latium Ent. (713) 414-3070 and Fred Davis of New York based Davis Shapiro Lewitt Montone and Hayes. The first release on the new imprint will be Chamillionaire's highly anticipated solo album "CONTROVERSY SELLS" which does not have a set release date yet.
I really appreciate ya'll stayin down wit a nigga .....We just closed the deal and I can honestly say it's a lot more than I thought was possible and I got that deal that people were tellin me I wasnt gonna get....They made the announcement in Puerto Rico during the Universal/Pepsi/MTV show so im sure yall will be hearing more about it soon...... just wanted to give yall the heads up..... They are givin me most of control over my projects so I can assure ya'll gonna hear some fire azz music anmd features...... I debated about what option to take for a while but my patience paid off......and I am confident that the ENTIRE Universal records staff is 100% behind me and will give me the Full push that I need..... instead of just treatin me like an artist who gonna make one hit and dissapear..... I was signed purely off the strenth of ME as an artist, song writer, and business man.... They didnt hear NOT one song off my album or try to get my previous album.....and were the most aggressive when it came to trying to get a deal done.....and now we gonna try to get a reasonable date set and get some big features..... so ya'll should expect some fire azz hooks.... bangin beats, lyrics outta this world, and most importantly creativity. I cant say what the future will hold or how this will turn out but right now im pretty confident with the decision I made.....considering the fact that if I go gold I will end up makin more money than a multi-platinum artist...and if I go Platinum ya'll might as well tell me which NBA team to buy...lol.... and it doesnt hurt knowing that I can go to the bently dealership and actually buy somethin if I want to.....
The website will change to a universal records Chamillionaire page with links to this website...which will have a new design and there will also be links to 2 other websites that I am doing...and sorry for such a long wait but the radio station will be 24 hours and will be mantained regularly.... I will give out the playstation and the prizes after the source awards....I have a new underground droppin after the source awards and a new cd download 1.5 cd by Rasaq that will go up for free download soon......THANKS TO ALL THE TRUE FANS...and peace ...FOR NOW..... CHAMILLITARY MAYNE!!

Strange/MSC a major label?
no offense or disrespect, but LOL.
They are nowhere near major label status. They are independant all the way. Are they as independant as say QN5 or Rhymesayers, etc. No, but they are independant. They are the same type of independant as Okayplayers(probably a bad example since they are more affiliation type label), ropeadopes, and others. Where they succeed as an independant which gives them bargaining position is the quality of material put out. Where they fail is the frequency of album releases. The albums come out too sporadically. But when they do come out, they are of the highest quality in sound (major label sound) and IMO when it comes to tech and Kutt, all killer, no filler.

.....The "big" labels only want Tech n9ne....why you ask?....well look at everyone else signed to Strange....they arent selling shit....atleast...not yet!!!!!....S&S...all you idiots hyped them up to be the best group......FLOPPED!!!!

that's why i think they should act more independant. put out albums more frequently. Don't hate on what i'm about to say, but remember when No Limit was coming up? before they hit huge? they were putting albums out like every month. sure they all sounded the same and most of them sucked (besides a few classics) but it got their name out there. people knew about no limit. Truth is, you can't make much money for your label if you aren't releasing anything. granted, strange has capitalized on merch and touring, but when you aren't putting out new material on a regular basis, people tend to forget about you.
MSC was founded Mark Cerami... he was one of the co-founders of Priority Records.
MSC is not a major at all... but MSC is "acting" as the major label at this point.
IMO, the reason S&S didn't do so hot was because of poor marketing... same thing with Kutt. It seems to have really hit Kutt hard... at least with S&S they pushed a single at radio. But they definately need to put out more stuff on a consistant basis... maybe a "Duece Click" album or an album with all the strange artists together with other KC and regional artists... I dunno, but something to put out on the streets.

the reason S&S didn't do well is because their album sucked. I don't know how you explain Kutt though. His album is a really solid album. A lot of people are hating on it, but it is really solid. Imagine how many albums that would have sold if it was released on a major. MTV kids would have eaten that up i think.
His label is already under MSC and If he signs with another lable his label will be under two labels meaning he won't get much money (even though it's not all about that) why bother he is doing well with out a major label and then another thing if he does they will try to change him and make it pop or what ever.
and also m dad a 50+ year old man heard one of TECHS songs while I was at work and said he was hot. My dad blames rap music for the lose of my older brother he was going to a concert with some he didn't know and crashed into a house I have the pics but Im not gonna post them. Besides that if my dad says he's hot Tech in my book is the hottest rapper.

ESTABLISHED, I meant it as in rap skills and experience in the game, as in having an awesome Strange Store filled with great merch with great quality...that's what I meant. I also see what you're saying about the big record labels only wanting Tech,and you bringing up a very interesting point about all their albums flopping...hmm.

Hmm good point. And if TECH does a mix tape it's only a local mix tape. He should branch out toward the east and do mix tapes with all different rappers/Artist, like for instance the King Tech & Sway mix tape he did back in the day. You know what maybe he shoule sign to a major label but sign a distribution and promotion deal not an artist deal. But if so who should he sign with??
