Is my monitor Dying?

So yesterday my monitor {which is a 15" dell flat screen} started shutting off sorta for like 2 seconds, it just goes black. out of nowhere basically. the yellow power light on the button will go off too for a second.

what does this mean? is my monitor RIP? should i buy a new one? thanks for any info

You might wanna check your cords. Maybe you bumped them and the wires are loose.

Although that isn't that old..it's still possible it's dying out. You can try fucking with the resolutions to see if that helps. But before you do buy another one, if you have another monitor around, you should try swapping your old one out and seeing if the same shit happens with other one. Just to find out if it's the monitor or your computer.

what you need to do is go down to the beach and get yourself some sand. turn the monitor off and pour the sand into those rectangular holes at the back of the monitor. now, turn the monitor on and then immediately turn it off again. next hold down the power button while reciting killa tay's verse from 'follow my lead' off the blocc movement album. once you have finished, let go of the power button and your monitor should turn on and work as normal with no problems. hope this helps.
