Al bullshit aside, lyrically, they can all spit. Dont just listen o the content, listen to the way its put together. Even a dopr rapper can make cooking breakfast sound dope.

That being said, if they DID focus more onnon-hyphy shit, they would actually be worth more than 2 spins.

federation is gonna make yall think twice when they drop a tight ass album
They're two albums deep into the game right? So we're hoping lucky #3? I seriously doubt it. I wish for them to make it but IMO they are wasting their opportunity by coming out with whack shit. If they weren't trying to make it into the commercial game and they just want regional underground money, they on they way. But if they are trying to attract the mainstream with the music they HAVE created, they fukkin up big time. We all know this, MAN!

Someone please DISPROVE me.

Then its official, youre an idiot.

Keak was the "pioneer" for Hyphy musc, from what I understand, not 40...he was the one to take it national and be recognized to do so.

Fab is the FURTHEST thing from gangsta, and he has said so MANY times.

Thats funny, cus they both have THE SAME PRODUCER.
From my knowledge, atleast I think I'm right, Mike Mosley did the production for the Cosmic Slop Shop album, I think Rick Rock did a few tracks here and there. I may be wrong though.

yeah but they was lackin in production.
Rick Rock, Mike Mosley or whoever did the production for the Cosmic Slop Shop album put it down. The production on that was real good, in my opinion.

But about The Federation. The first album was listenable, but after about 2 months I couldn't listen to it anymore. The "Hyphy Movement" was saturating the radio with too much of the same shit and most of it was coming from The Federation (plus F.A.B. & The Team). The few tracks they dropped from the new album that was suppose to had been being released were okay at best. They were not showing any kind of versitility. A full album of the same shit is old after a while, especially "hyphy music". For those who said Cosmic Slop Shop was better than The Federation, I agree. But at the same time they are two completely different style groups. They had more of a message in most of the songs on the album, where The Federation is just about partying and "going dumb" with the exception of one or two songs on the first album. In conclusion, The Federation is dead right now. They might be able to pull something out, but they'd want to do it before the hyphy shit dies out, because honestly, I don't know think they can do anything else (maybe Donnie if he takes it back to what he was speaking about during his Cosmic Slop Shop days). Just my opinion.

Nah, it was Rick Rock. I still got that album. Mike Mosely did 1 or 2 tracks at most. And yeah it was a lot better than the Feds imo. They was talking about some relevant shit, and it had a cool lil vibe to it. I think they can rap, they just don't make the types of songs I listen to no more.

Thanks for clearing that up. I never owned the actual album or seen the production credits.

Also (not in reply to Meandme's post), Stress & Goldie weren't part of Cosmic Slop Shop. They never had that vibe to them, which is another reason why they were two completely different groups.
