messy marv will probably pull some tricks out of his ass and get storch to do a beat or two. I hear lil jon is doing a few tracks on his new shit. What other artists use lil jon from the bay besides 40 and short?

i read in vibe mag awhile back that babyface charged TLC a ticket for 4 beats. Cats from the bay charge anywhere from free to $50-$2500 maybe at the most. I don't know what Droop-E charges.

Most superproducers charge around 100,000 or more...Dre is 250, and I know Neptunes, Timbaland, Kanye, DJ Quik, maybe Just Blaze are all 100,000.

However....I know first hand that most artists you see on TV will never pay 100,000 straight up for a beat unless they are brand new and workin on a major company budget. Most of these producers work hella deals, which is why you'll see them on each other's projects....like Kanye will give Game a beat for half price or even less, but then say "you gotta do a verse or whole song on my album". Dre always works deals like that, and a lot of times it is for his ghostwriters, or either for artists who he'll get to be on one of his artist's albums.
