what it is now no. what it was at 2000ish up until a lil after mac dre passed, yes....now everyone cashin in on the shit an aint tryna be original
^
basically..

heres my take..

Hyphy became an umbrella for bay artists to come underneath so that they can slap the "movement" label onto it..HOWEVER, in the process, the quality suffered greatly because if you try to fit your lyrics into a category of music thats already narrowd down to "goin dumb, bein stupid" then your signing off any originality that u can claim as your own..

We fucks wit’ Snoop and Game and Dre and shit, That nigga Game on the gate over here though, but since he be fucking with niggas uptown niggas fuck with him. But E-40 corney as hell. He gets no love over here. Niggas don’t even go to his shows. They got some other niggas over there I feel but that hyphy shit..nah
I heard of Yuk Mouth, I heard Game say some slick shit about him, I heard that nigga Game soft and he just live off of his brother Big Face name. Yeah that’s crazy some nigga I know up out of Oakland told me niggas don’t be on that gang shit to hard and niggas just be on that territorial shit.

i would like to know the differents?
Hyphy is pretty much acting a fool, not giving a fuck.

Thizz started off by pill poppin and going retarded. Mac Dre's style basically.

The words themselves have transcended into categories of music, which isn't necessarily right because it's just a type of behavior.

I can't really elaborate much but it's like G-Funk vs Gangsta Rap. If anyone can catch my drift.

It gave the rest of the world a taste of the bay, but I think the bay fucked it away with all the garbage and repetitiveness that came out. All originality out the window. Now artists tryin to go another route, but I think it's too late.
