There is an Iraqi civilian who is keeping a daily journal of what it is like. Its in english. the guy reallly breaks it down, from telling about seeing soldiers setting fire to oil trenches (which is different from iraqi officials), to talking about the prices of things, his family, saddam, views on the people who surrender, and how they see Americans. I can't really put it all on the post. Check it out. I knw this is a rap forum, but there was an earlier post about the war so I know there is interest. here is the address.
