@206, I've been trying to find the origins of JEEBUS for several hours now. I've yet to find the frank zappa song that was cited, but I do remember a couple fo episodes where Homer said "jeebus." Also, I remember an episode where someone was a king (I think it was homer) and he said something to the bullies (the skinny guy with the hat and the bald guy) and they said "Jesus is our only king." That was odd coming from a group of bullies...kinda like america claiming to be a christian nation.

No! Not at all. There is only a small percentage of U.S citizens that even knows what is going on in the world, let alone even bother to pick up a news paper or watch the evening news(because they are too busy worrying about themseleves). Not that this is a big help. But at least to keep them somehwhat informed. Then you have Christians and other religious groups who see Israel in the biblical sense and don't mind the U.S helping to protect it. What about you? What's your opinion. The bottom line for me is...I have a family to protect...by any means necessary. I can't be the only one who thinks this way.

For those of you who are not familiar with Lebanon and Hizballah

Hizballah = Iran
They recieve aid from them and they look out primarly for Iran's interest First and then Lebanon's second. This war is basicly Iran/Syria vs. Israel, the sad part is its happening on Lebanese soil. Lebanese civilians have to pay for Iran/Syria/Israel's problems, which is major bullshit. I was just evacuated from Lebanon last week, i saw alot of destruction and violence in just a 7 day period, probably more than i've seen in my whole life.

My opinion is to pray for the real hebrews/jews who deserve the land and to pray for the innocent victims in all of this. My opinion is america has sown seeds of discord, and played both sides of the fence for too long. I see Israel in a biblical sense but quite differently from the average "christian" or bible believer and quite different from what I believed several years ago. I believe all of this is happening because the hebrews were cursed by God himself and that the people of Israel are experiencing whatever hardships they are experiencing because God is humbling them and trying to draw them to himself and to depend on him instead of depending on america.


Also, when something "fantastic" happens you'll see a major distrust for the israelis and american government.

i am not a defender of hizbullah, but the blue line between Israel and lebanon which is under UN control separating the two was crossed over a hundred times by hizbullah, compared to over 11,000 times by israel in the last six years. It seems to me that israel was the one trying to provoke the war
