A great threat from Iran at its finest?

Ahmadinejad: Be assured that the US and Israel will soon end lives

Israel and the United States will soon be destroyed, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday during a meeting with Syria's foreign minister, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) website said in a report. Iran's official FARS news agency also reported the comments.



"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad… assured that the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel will soon come to the end of their lives," the Iranian president was quoted as saying.



"Sparking discord among Muslims, especially between the Shiites and Sunnis, is a plot hatched by the Zionists and the US for dominating regional nations and looting their resources," Ahmadinejad added, according to the report.

The Iranian president also directly tied events in Lebanon to a wider plan aimed at Israel's destruction. He called on "regional countries" to "support the Islamic resistance of the Lebanese people and strive to enhance solidarity and unity among the different Palestinian groups in a bid to pave the ground for the undermining of the Zionist regime whose demise is, of course, imminent."



Ahmadinejad has threatened the State of Israel with annihilation several times in recent months, and has recently added the US and Britain to the list of countries he says will be destroyed.



Syria's Foreign Minister, Wailed Mualem, accused the US of attempting to carry out a "massacre of Muslims" and of sowing "discord among Islamic faiths in the region."



Mualem called on "regional states to pave the ground for the establishment of peace and tranquillity… while preventing further genocide of the Muslims," the IRIB website said.

to the rest of the world. i mean they started the iraq war on some bullshit. they might start a war with iran as well. the US is the instigator. like someone else said, the US justifies any war and you guys eat all the bullshit they give you.

i live in the US, not the rest of the world. so i do not feel threatened by the US as much as iran. yes ive heard a million times on here how much the US sucks and how it is satan and how we are ruining the world, even if i assume thats true, please tell me what other country you would like as the leading nation. this is not the school playground where everyone shares and gets a long. short of any utopia, i really dont understand what you all envision as the way things should be.

Yikes. You would back the US even if they decided to bomb France, or initiate the draft again, wouldn't you? Not everything the US does is right. And yes, the US can lead the world without starting conflicts whenever they deem necessary. Your analogy of a school playground is sophmoric at best. I'm just saying, don't you think it's funny that without the Iraq War being anywhere close to ending, that they are drumming up this shit with Iran? And what about the citizens of Iran? They must think the exact same way as Ahmadinejad.:rolleyes: Riiiight.

Just because YOU feel threatened, doesn't make it right to bomb the fuck outta another country and hurt their citizens (people like you and me). Especially when Iran hasn't done shit to the US. who said anything about backing anyone, you are putting words in my mouth. bombong france is not a threat to me. the draft is not a threat to me.

as for iran and iraq, they are one in the same to me. for the 5 billionth time this has to do with our creation of israel post ww2. what about the citizens of iran? who cares, who care about the citizens of the US for that matter, you nor i nor the public anywhere has any say in these matters, its irrelavent.

finally, i dont disagree with mahmoud, i actually like the guy. what he is saying is true, and he is justified in taking action against the US for its support of israel. HOWEVER, i live in the US, and i know that we will never servere out ties with israel. let me make another sophmoric analogy for you. israel is family, i didnt choose, you didnt choose, thats just the way the world was when i happened to be born. i dont care what someone in my family has done, if you fuck with them, i will kill you. thats basically sums our position with israel. you have to look at the big picture little buddy, this is not checkers.
