so you can use it as a ipod or web browser but then you cant make calls n shit? Why would you buy an iPhone just to use it as a PSP or something...

You're using the wi-fi, that service isn't from the iPhone/AT&T it's from wherever the wi-fi connection is at. You can't use the EDGE/phone/text/etc., which are the services you pay for.

just cause the phone can get hacked over a wi fi connect, it has nothing to do with the screen shot you posted of a fuckin virus, and malware bullshit that cons people by offering a free phone.

so to back up the claim with that screen shot, its not a good reason.

but anyhow.

seeing as how the iphone either connects to AT&T internet or the nearest available wifi source, it makes sense that you could hack it to use the internet or just be an ipod.... waste of 600 bucks tho. the plan only costs 50 bucks a month for all the services you want on the iphone, which isn't that expensive at all
