So i am reading this book by Richard Dawkins -The God Delusion. Now, he talk about letting people make they're own judgement on whether to believe in god or not. He stated that there is no such thing as a muslim child or a christian child, Only a child of christian parents. Now he says this because he believes that a child is too young to be able to understand and use judgement with decent logic and reason to know what he believes. He also says that this is a form of child abuse in a sense and i can see where hes coming from.

What i want to know is how you people out there with religous beliefs, who believe in a personal god who speaks to people and interacts with the world, think about this video.....

Isnt this tarnishing the christian image?

Have these kids' lives been brainwashed and ruined to have any chance for personal opinion?

Do you think that god would appreciate her spreading "his word" in such a fashion?

This family is used only for shock value by the media. I'd love to see a real report where they argue with them theologically.

EDIT: They have some valid points. For a fringe group.

I think about this alot.

If anyone is interested....they have been showing ALOT of debates about Exodous (Moses and the isrealites) and about Hell on the Discovery Channel...

Very interesting ones as well.

I italicized the word fag because I, like her, don't take it to mean homosexual. Most, if not all CEO's = fags. Most people that can help but don't = fags. Murderers = fags. Rapists = fags.

returning to richard dawkins point of there isnt religious kids......

ive always felt the same way.....when i hear people talk about baptising thier 1 year old kid i feel like its stupid.....its not gonna magically grant this kid to go to "heaven" or make him a good person automatically....they may grow up and have the total opposite beliefs of christianity....i dont have any kids but if i did i dont have any religion to push onto them.....if they grow older and start gettin into religion on thier own id probably have a hard time not exppressing my distaste for religion but in the end its thier own choice and whatever makes them happy and isnt harmin them i guess is good enough for them.....but if they got extreme wit it id have to say somethin as long as they were livin in my house.....when they grow up and move out they can worship whoever the hell they want on thier own bill.....

How many Christians do you know personally?

How many raise their kids to anything approximating this?

Asking Christians what they think about this is like asking a butcher to watch a video of a man chopping up a child and asking for their opinion.
