Tech n9ne says alot here and there that he International and all over tha place but what has SM done overseas really at all ??? there main markets are american cities there tours only cover american cities and theres 0 promotion done elsewhere either by SM (that ive seen)

Tech n9ne and SM aint gonna get any bigger anywhere else anytime soon if this shit continues i see no effort being done either on this issue...

when is SM gonna start thinking bigger and less local ? a tour in a different country ? SM could make tha exact same sales there getting from americans overseas... shit even PSY made an effort lol SM catch up!

I agree that he needs to come back to Australia.. moreso because of my want than Strange Music's I would assume but I have said my piece on this before.. but as far as i know.. a lot of cities are skipped in the current tours of America anyway.. wouldn't Strange Music try to predominantly focus on America first and accomplish sell outs in all citys there before heading overseas on a yearly basis?? As far as they know venturing to another country could be a hit or miss not taking into account that InDemand process which isn't very reliable in terms of numbers..

Tech was on tour in Australia & New Zealand in... 2003(?)
for the Urban Assault Tour with Kurupt, Dru Down, The Luniz & DJ Fingaz

promotion was horrible... as there was next to no advertising and from what I read it was spread by word of mouth for the most part as I knew nothing about it in Melbourne (I'm still heated as fuck about this), which is one of the biggest hip-hop fan based cities in this country... still managed to sell out though

I know they held a sold out show at the Enmore in Sydney which was mostly due only to word of mouth and a small internet site through one of the venue's associates which is damn good considering the lack of promotion

there is no reason as to why they shouldn't for a second time as there is definitely a market down here that would cater to what they have to offer

You would be correct on all counts.. in one of the other threads pertaining to doing a tour in Australia on the Siccness.. I mentioned Tech N9ne on a wrestling forum I frequent and was extremely suprised at not only the positive reaction to him but also from the amount of people who knew about him and considered themselves fans.. on a forum where in all likelihood they shouldn't really even know about him..

I have never seen a Strange Music album in a UK record store. They seem to have no kind of distribution over here, which really is quite shocking considering that I can go into any one and find records from pretty much every notable independent Hip-Hop label out there (Anticon, Babygrande, Hieroglyphics, Uncle Howie, Psycho+Logical, Psychopathic, Barak, QN5, Stones Throw, Def Jux, Fat Beats, etc, etc.)

Also, in these days when even debut album indie rappers are doing mini English tours, Tech N9ne has to be the biggest independent US artist not to have come over (although it's not really a shock considering that the poor distribution means he is effectively not able to move any units here).

True, we need some Tech love over here!
Some of you guys are so lucky to have seen Tech so many times.
It would be incredible beyond belief to see Tech live, or any of my favorite American acts for that fact.

If he was to get some distribution and promotion out here, get his name out a bit. He'd be a hit, no doubt.

Forget australia how bout he come see his neighbors in canada.

Even raekwon came and killed a club in montreal last week.
Tech can't play in Canada because you guys only have one outlet per square mile to plug lights and amps into, and you still haven't discovered extention cords. Find a nice cave with some acoustics and hit up Travis at the office.

dont get me wrong here.. i mean SM should go EVERYWHERE.. not just australia

even if they dont tour they should atleast get distro in the main countries.. Aus/NZ/EU/CA and etc.. its almost fukin pathetic the effort done by his label to promote him elsewhere i love the label but they godda start steppin up.. how they gonna take over when the label aint doing shit ?

personally i think the EU market would be HUGE for SM...its usually the case for many artists and countries like CA/AUS/NZ also have a great potential... if i seen effort done to even 1 international country id be happy even if it wasnt my own..cause than id know eventually itll come here
