here's some big-ass street teaming news...I haven't posted about this yet, but a few weeks ago, while I was grocery shopping at this big-ass Kmart store in Torrance, Ca. There was this canopy set-up for this big up-start Inland Empire (Riverside,etc. California) radio station called K-Jam/ Q90.5 fm Jamz. But anyways, their marketing director Stanley Miller was there with their street team blasting their radio music in front of the huge store while giving away free shit and doing raffles. I told them what I do and Stanley tells me that they need more promo shit to give out to their listeners and said that they'll take ALOT of the Strange Music promo shit that I have!!! Stanley was like:"Man, we hit up colleges, clubs, events, etc.. we were just at the BET awards, So if you want to, I'll contact you everytime we go somewhere, e-mail you our schedule and we can meet up to do some promo shit!".
So I rush to my truck and pull out alot of the Strange Music shit that I got, I gave them about 3 boxes of Hostile Takeover Samplers, fliers,flats,stickers, posters and S&S zig zags. People ate the all up like a mothafucka!!! Since then, I've stayed in touch with them.
NOW... this past sunday right when I was driving home from the Sci-Fi comic-con, I see their street team van again and Stan honks after seeing all the Strange Music propoganda around my truck, notices me, and yells:"Glen!! we just got back from pasadena!!we're driving to the Big-ass Kmart again!!" so I tell him that I'll follow and help them set up shit. So I get there and he tells me that damn near all the Strange Music shit that I gave him last time were all given to people!!! So then, Stan lets me put up Strange Music posters and flats and stuff, making the K-JAM CANOPY look like a fuckin STRANGE MUSIC Canopy!!! you can view the pictures over at my "Jugga's Strange Music Promoting Pics Thread" Thread.
the rest of this summer, me, some street team people around here in So. Cal and K-Jam/Q90.5 fm are going to be hitting up colleges such as USC, UCLA, etc. . They will be hitting up Vegas,Barstow,Los Angeles, etc. They are also willing to do some future Strange Music on-air interviews and will be setting up booths doing benefit raffles, doing give-aways,etc. ALL WHILE passing out STRANGE MUSIC/PDM shit, so be on the look out if you live around So. Cali!!!
