When a mainstream artist wont battle an indy artist, not because the indy artist isnt good enough, but the exposure would hurt their sales...what ever happened to battlin it out?

That rap is the music of the people, yet all of the music comes from New York. Not only that, but the select few that arent from New York that get play have connections to New York (ie Ludacris, Scarface).
