Incarceration Rates By Race: Which State Locks Up the Highest % of Each Racial Group?

Wondering what you guys think of this question, where white people are locked up the most frequently, where black people are locked up the most frequently, where Latinos are locked up the most frequently.

Just wondering, there are many ways to interpret this question and the data it brings, you can go the politically uncorrect route and ask "where are the badass white boys" or you can go the politically correct route and ask more intelligent sounding questions.

At the state scale Wisconsin and at the city scale Milwaukee are almost always near the top of any list on the general theme of black-white polarization stuff.

Widest black-white income gap in any metro area over 75,000 population is Milwaukee.

I posted the link, it is something called "The Sentencing Project." A lot of amazing research is out there, you just need to know where to look for it.

And about Mass and DC it is interesting b/c the East Coast is one of the better spots for low incarceration rates, HOWEVER, it is the worst region for the GAP between whites and blacks in incarceration. If you click on that link and read the report it shows the incarceration white-black ratios for all the states, and despite the fact that black people in the Northeast are the least incarcerated black people in the US, the white people there are so incredibly rarely incarcerated that the white-black gaps in some of those states actually come out as the widest.

Yeah I myself don't even have an opinion on what's worse, a place where a huge chunk of the black people get locked up but atleast some white folks get locked up too, so the polarization isn't as noticeable, OR a place where a smaller chunk of the black people get locked up but hardly any white people are locked up, so the polarization is huge.
