Images w/Photoshop and PRINTING???

I'm startin' to fuck with photoshop and I've been taking pics of people with my digicam to experiment w/photoshop. I was wondering if it's possible to save the JPG file and print it? What do you set the dimensions to and what document size? I want to make a 5 x 7 pic. I have a photo printer so I was wondering if i could print out the jpg pic w/crazy backgrounds and glows and what not onto photo paper with photo ink???

yes sir, it can be done...just make the image the size you want it (5x7), set the printing settings (type of papers, ink, etc.) and print...don't even need to save as a jpeg, just print it straight from photoshop...
