Does anyone here have any experience in boxing or kickboxing? I'm thinking about doing one of the two for fun and getting in shape. I don't plan on being a serious fighter or competitor. I'm just doing this to learn how to K.O someone if I have to and to get a workout. How do I choose a good gym? Is it better to start off with boxing for foundation then move to kickboxing? How many times do they train you a week? I'm a full-time student so I can't train everyday.

im a full time student and i go to the gym 6 days a week for at least one and a half hours......you dont have to be a boxer or kickboxer to know how to ko someone....here ill tell ya...you just bend your arm and fuckin swing as hard as you can, but you gotta swing from like the depths of your soul n shit, like harder then you can imagine, or you can throw a super hard elbow, like so fuckin hard you cant even believe it...good luck

Boxing gets you in better shape then kick boxing. I used to Box for a lil bit I didnt try to go pro or nothing and I did martial arts it was just something I did to keep me out of shit when I was a teenager trying to change my life

I took boxing lessons for 3 years. It's real cool, especially if you want to get in shape and learn a few moves. 75% of it is conditioning though, so I hope you like to sweat. If you want to get in shape, boxing will definitely do that to ya.
