On some real shit, Breh

Mind you, I shouldn't even be spending this much time on this, but just this one last time, so you know that I don't have hatred towards you.

All I'm saying is your promotion tactics are overkill. Above all, it's 1999 game and artist are not frontin' like that anymore. It looks extremely fake & not a good look for both, you and independent artist in general. This contributes to people not supporting, or taking independent serious.

Underground artist (broke rappers) have kept it real and have humbled ourselves. Focus on less frontin' and focus on perfecting your craft to better your music.

Just my 2.

Easy there with your rant, no need to catch feelings & get upset. Bottom line is this, dude ask for an opinion & got it. End of story.

Business? Wow! I had much more respect for what you doin' Homie, but on somethin' real I can never take a "business man" serious who uses the "N" word, labels people by race, or has to resort to vulgar language to get his point across. It's a clear sign that person has no self control and is not willing to give the consumer what he/she wants. That's a red flag in my book for bad business of top.

You sound like your out to make a fast buck and in this "business" it's about longevity. That's what separates "business men" from "hustlers." ...passion.

People sell a t-shirt with a silk screen logo & call that a clothing line now a days. And we can sell 100 Cd's in the street and done it, but it means nothing for somebody with a true passion to make a couple of bucks, but the product goes nowhere. And you call that success? Really?

And please don't come in with the good product speech cause this dude's Cd is straight propaganda. Anybody telling him his album is tight is shifting his car to high speed and guiding him straight for a brick wall.

Like this, if somebody sells a t-shirt, or Cd and walks away feeling good about it, that's cool. ...but if that Cd doesn't make the impact that we are working for... it means nothing but a fast buck. And that Cd never got the time of day, for it ended up under the car seat to be forgotten & thrown out the next time they clean their car. And washed their car with the t-shirt that was sold to them as well.

Money, money, money, broke rappers yada yada yada... what happened to the passion? Passion for money? Cool and that's why so many people out there selling garbage Cd's and killing the game for the rest of the independents.

And if the game you gave him is what he came in here sayin'? He needs to really take the SICCNESS members advice, cause that is hell of a lot more real than the dream you sellin' him.

Understand this...when you rap for your own "PASSION" that means you are doing what pleases you...fuck what anybody else says. When you rap for "MONEY" or "BUSINESS" then you are looking to adapt to certain things that may even take you out of your comfort zone...it makes you have to be sharper on your marketing of yourself. If you have a problem with the "N" word you need tah leave rap alone...if that is what you do? The word NIGGER and NIGGA is a word symbolic to black people's striff...Hip Hop/Rap is a black culture's music expression that deals with black topics...what race are you?...How can you be in HIP HOP and not respect "Ugly Nigga"? Ugly Nigga is Hip Hop. You have to be black to undrstand that fully...Ugly Nigga is...Oscar Grant...so what is it that you dont "respect" about me? As for the vulgar language...save it dude...you aint no kid...stop bull shitin'.

I have no problem with the "N" word in that way. It's the fact of the matter that you come in swinging and throwing words around like you the man to listen to & we're a bunch of idiots in here. If you so much better than anybody, or really got it like that... what you doin' in the Siccness? Your whole rant / money spill was like you really doin' it. And mind you, I can respect anybody doing their thing, but it starts to ring fake when people talk that way.

If anybody is a true success in a major way I'll see it on MTV, BET... every major music magazine etc. I don't need any rapper / entrepreneur trying to convince me that they're on their way. I'm just not hearing it. So thank the Siccness because I've never heard of you outside this site. And you maybe successful, but success is measured, so it all depends on what level of success make's you content. Not that I care.

Back to what I meant about the use of the "N" word and foul language. I'm no Holy Roller or actually take offense to any of it. ...but if I'm conducting business like say for example, I'm buying a car & sitting in the little office in the dealership. And the dealer is really trying to sell me this car (as they do.) I will seriously get up and walk out if he starts to talk like we're hanging on the block.

You want to be a business man, then conduct yourself as one and learn how to speak correctly when need be.

My cousin works for Sony Pictures (it's not something I throw around) and yes I dealt with them at one point. Do you know how ignorant some people look walking in trying to keep it real? They don't want to hear your mouth, they want to see talent, humbleness, professionalism, focus & documents.

Most newbies that come through here want to impress about being signed LOL!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!! They watch too much T.V. or really believe that some how it'll come true if they say it enough, or convince people. To sign a real record deal will take an artist at least a year by the time everything is signed and gone through the entertainment lawyers, fees etc.

99.9% of independent artist don't own their publishings, don't know how to register a song, or know how they are suppose to be paid through this music. They believe that they are suppose to just get money off album sales and that's it LOL!!!! It's a joke to read that about any rapper claiming to do it big.

The way musicians get paid is through royalties (see: publishings) that's the longevity of every musician regardless of genre. And what I just gave you is the basics, so if rappers are in this business thinking about blowing up & dreaming about being successful cause they sold 100 Cd's in the street. Cause some dude said they had a good chance at being a success? Them rappers will all be applying at a Mickey D's near you in the next few years.

Most rappers dream about million dollar homes etc. But fail to realize that you must maintain making millions to be able to afford the little things that some slow people over look, like property taxes on a million dollar home.

And that my friend, is the honest to God truth coming from a home owner.

Nice how you came in this time and did your shameless plug thing LOL!!!! I saw it coming.

I don't need to leave nothing alone. I've been good in what I do and working at it & the "N" word does not exists in my vocabulary what so ever (online or in person.)

My reason being that I am not African American & I just feel it's a disrespect. If you must know I happen to be Boricua (Puerto Rican.) And that is why I won't use the word... out of respect.

I don't hate you, I'm in no way aiming at disrespecting you in anyway. I'm just simply stating facts on how it all works.

I wish you much success in what your doing.

Look...I agree with you about:... the rules of the industry...success is relative...the difference between doing business and bidness...and even my condescending attitude. Andre Nickatina and Tech are successful...dont see them on MTV...I learned from opening up for them (Andre 6times Tech 3times) that just because you dont see or hear things on commercial outlets that you aren't successful.

Honestly...I couldn't believe Andre has the draw that he does...I dont agree with his music...but he is tremendously successful...Str8-Lace can do the same thing...he doesn't have to conform, just be st8 with his business.

As far as me...yah I rub people the wrong way...they respond negatively, "Your stupid, that Ugly Nigga shit will never work, the industry will not allow it etc, etc."...then I go out and start proving what I'm saying is true...the nay sayers don't have the heart to come back and say "You may be right"...they stay silent...I maintane an open door policy check out all my advertisment and it invites artists to join...people are easily intimidated...

Ohh yah...and you are obviously not who my "loser comment" was directed at...but you responded lol...and have gained my respect by the way you argued your point...not like my approval is of any value...hold on gotta pause for a commercial...

Again, success is measured. Some people are content in what they're doing & that's great. Perhaps the whole MTV, BET etc. Is extreme, but artist like UGK (R.I.P. Pimp C) are a prime example of wanting to stay underground, yet have major following.

Some people are happy working their regular 9 to 5 and going home to their family... that's success.

About opening acts, I've opened for artist like Spice 1 and hung with some big names. Some I have pictures with, some I don't. And I've seen a lot of shows like Ice Cube (Westside Connection), War, Da Lench Mob, Eazy E (R.I.P.), Ice T, Cypress Hill, E40 (The Click), The Luniz, Mac Dre (R.I.P.), Tha Outlawz, The Eagles, Devin the Dude, Killah Priest, George Clinton & the P Funk All Stars, I knew Roger Troutman personally etc. The list goes on & on. I actually met a lot of these other people as well.

So ask me the names of the artist who opened up for these acts. And I will tell you I don't remember any of them. If I was to open for say example Jay-Z and I had 500.000 people in attendance, I don't have bragging rights due to the fact that the crowd was handed to me. They came to see Jay-Z period, point, blank.

I'm not knocking what your doing. I'm saying that as independent artist, we can hang & open for the big boys and it doesn't mean we get a free ride, or we're actually doing it big. We must do for ourselves first and work our way up to where we want to be. In the end, it's to each his/her own on how far they want to take it. Build your resume' on what your doing because name dropping will get you nowhere.

And this is all said in good demeanor, Breh.

IF U REALLY WANTED TO RUB PEOPLE THE WRONG WAY YOUD CALL YOURSELF "UGLY NIGGER" AND NOT TAKE THE PUSSY WAY OUT
