I didn't think the Hawks would lose but I did start this thread, I was a little nervous for some reason. Seems like it's always tough to go into the Stick and get a W:

'03 they had to win to go to the playoffs and the 9ers put a huge scare into them, but they got it done

'05, the year only 2 teams beat us in a meaningful regular season game, we had to rely on a failed 2-point conversion to get the W

Yeah Gore ran all over our faces. Yeah Seneca did throw 3 picks, all of them gift-wrapped, none were particularly great plays by the D (however I wasn't all that mad about the first one b/c it was like a good punt inside the 10, it shouldn't have killed us). But Gore also made a crucial mistake late w/ the fumble.

THE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME WAS THE WAY 75% OF THE GAMES IN THE NFL ARE DECIDED: THE BATTLE OF THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE. THE NINERS BEAT US IN THE TRENCHES

Still going to be tied for #2 in the NFC after Jacksonville shits on NY tomorrow night. It's the Bears and everybody else (including the Niners now after today) fighting for that crucial #2 seed. Could end up being any one of about 6 teams.

The game was live ! Every seat in the house was filled...seems like the spirit amongst the fans is back at 110%..

Niners played pretty well 1st half, but got me worried when the 2nd half came around...The Hawks did a good job of bending but not breaking, and Nedney missed those two easy FG's that would've put the game out of reach.

I guess it made it a more exciting game, because everyone was there until the clock ran all the way down...especially after that last minute fumble.

We need to go into St Louis with this momentum and really take it to 'em...

Anyone else sense that fucking Gore was going to fumble right before the ball was snapped?

I asked two people and they say they sensed that shit too.

That was a close one.
Our offense is still struggling.
Sure we forced a few turn overs but we were moving the ball in the first half with ease.
Gore was the only offensive player to show up in the second half.
Pathetic....

I gotta give it up to the defense.
I doubted them because even though they played great in the previous games, they played against shitty offenses.
But they shut down Alexander, although he wasn't 100%.
However they made some big plays....

I gotta say though, our team always plays tough at home.
It's on the road where we have most of our problems.
We need to beat the butt Rams badly....

Unfortunately I also felt the fumble coming. I also knew Nedney was gonna miss that FG after Jonas Jennings went down and stopped the clock with an injury timeout with 38 seconds left.
