DID YOUR COPY COME WITH THE MANUAL AND BOOK(I BELIEVE EVERY DISC INCLUDIN' BURNT COPIES COMES WITH SOME TUTORIAL)?

BUT TRY gOOgLIN'(OR WHATEVA SEARCH ENgINE) AND LOOK UP "ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIALS" OR "ILLUSTRATOR TIPS", OR WHATEVA KEYWORD WOULD TAKE YOU TO SUCH INFO.
OR gO STRAIgHT TO ADOBE'S SITE AND JUST CRUISE THRU THEY FORUMS. I'M PRETTY SURE THEY HAVE MORE THAN ENOUgH RESOURCES AND LINKS TO PLACES RARELY REACHED.

If you want to use illustrator and be a pro. Scan in a face card from a deck of playing cards. Trace the whole thing completely and after that you should be able to trace anything in illustrator

In a nutshell, use Illustrator for vector graphics like if you're creating a logo or whatever ( cartoons and such ). Photoshop is for image editing and shit like that. I'd do a search for " Photoshop Vs. Illustrator ". Theres a few good comparisons out there explaining the difference between the two.
