i just want to get your opinons...

I'm about to find a college to transfer too...

if i don't stay in the Bay Area (SJSU or SFSU)

i might go to UC Austin, they all say thats one of the music capitols of the
united states

i'ma always do music, but if i do it from outa-state... i think the whole
process of making music that gets heard will stall and die

what ya'll think? if your music good it'll get out there? or does it matter
greatly where your making it at?

I think you can make good music everywhere and even more important...You can sell GOOD music everywhere..Right now we are promotin the Moonshine Bandits and Dobad of Solitary Confinement Records outhere in Germany and Muthafuckaz are loving it, even though they never heard of them before! We sold 3 Dobad CDs in 4 Days IN GERMANY!
That's great if you ask me..

Austin is the live music capitol of the world. I've never looked into the rap market there though. From what I've seen and read, indie rock and country are the biggest things jumpin' out there.

Here's a link for the SXSW conference that's held in Austin. Cool Nutz has a song on there. The festival is in March this year. Could be worth checkin' out. It's for music, film, and interactive aspects of entertainment.
