whats your point? they both have the same amount of tds thrown this year but Peyton has 3415 yards passing while Favre only has 2874 and more importantly Peyton hasnt lost a game. Brees only has 2746 yards passing

peyton would get it before VY..

but peyton doesn't deserve it more than Favre or Brees, as of right now.

that could change... we'll see how it plays out.
if you take Favre out of Minnesota and replace him with Tavaris Jackson... they'll still be a playoff team... (proof because they were last year) they still have a great defense and a great running game with Adrian Peterson

take Peyton Manning out of Indy and I don't think they'd be a playoff team

their defense is better this year... but not at the same level as the Vikings' D... and their running game is horrible...

they're ranked 16th in total defense and 31st in rushing offense

yet they're 11-0 right now... WHY? because of Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning runs the entire offense... he calls the plays... he's basically the offensive coordinator and QB

you're simply looking at stats... but the award is Most VALUABLE player... not best QB rating

I'm sure it will go to Favre or Brees... because Peyton won it last year... and the league and the media have a huge crush on Favre... but at this point Peyton SHOULD get MVP

Jim Sorgi has never even started a game since signing with the Colts, and has played in 16 games since 2004. Totaling 156 attempts.. thats roughly 10 attempts a game so I would say its safe to say he has only came in when the Colts were dominating opponents. I have no idea what he would be able to do as a starter. I wish I had his job.

I seriously doubt he would come anywhere near having the success that Cassel had when he took over after Brady got injured.

One of two things is happening right here: You're either an idiot talking out of his ass, or just flat-out retarded... personally I think it's a little bit of both, but don't worry, I'll keep it our little secret...

To say they'd still be a playoff team is just stupid. You've obviously watched little to no Vikings football this year, because Favre has CARRIED this team on his shoulders and made EVERYBODY around him better. Adrian Peterson is still a great running back, but he has NOT been the same Adrian Peterson of last year or the year before. Look at it this way... defenses have OBVIOUSLY had to key more on the Vikings passing game this year than last year.. last year they knew if they stopped AD, they stopped the Vikings offense flat-out... this year Favre comes in and has done what he's done, which should have opened up the game even more for AD since defenses have to pay more attention to Favre... so what has AD done? His yards per carry have gone DOWN not up, and he's already managed to lose more fumbles this year than last. Had Jackson been the QB this year, Peterson's stats wouldn't look NEARLY as good as they do now, since defenses would've been able to key on JUST him and clearly something just aint quite right with his game this year... like I said, he's still a top 5 RB in the NFL, but without Favre, there's not a chance in hell he'd have 12 TD's and over 1,000 rushing yards already...

AD has had 3 big rushing games this year... against HORRIBLE Cleveland, awful Detroit, and Baltimore (thanks to busting off a 60 yard run).

Against Chicago this past week and Seattle the week before, he managed a total of 3.4 yards per carry, and each of those teams ranks toward the bottom of the NFL in run defense, giving up an average of 4.3 YPC... and its not like they gave up on him and just let Favre loose, he carried the ball a total of 49 times in those two games...

Brett Favre is the reason the Vikings are 10-1 and battling for home field throughout the playoffs... they would NOT be a playoff team without him this year, with Adrian playing the way he has. Favre already has more TD's thrown this year than all Vikings passing TD's COMBINED last year from Frerotte and Jackson... the Vikings had several things come together just right last year to BARELY make the playoffs, thanks to their D, AD, and a stretch of decent play from Jackson, and you saw where they went once they got to the playoffs.. to say the Vikings would make the playoffs this year without Favre, I think is sadly mistaken.

did you read my post???

INDY HAS THE 31ST RANKED RUSHING OFFENSE... AND THEY ARE 11-0

even if Peterson is not as good as he was last year, the Vikings running game is still MUCH better than the Colts' running game... and the Vikings defense is still much better

what is so hard to understand about that? Peyton Manning IS the Colts... so would the Vikings still be a playoff team without Favre? I think they would... but maybe I'm wrong.... I will admit I haven't watched a lot of Vikings games... but I'm going off what I have watched and going off the stats as well... also going off the fact that I share the same opinion as many of experts on the radio, on ESPN, NFL Network, etc... so I guess they're all retards and idiots as well, huh?

and your entire essay long post was only disproving the fact that I said the Vikings would make the playoffs without Favre, but it did NOTHING to disprove the fact that Favre is MORE important to his team than Peyton Manning

I agree Favre is extremely important to hsi team right now... and they would not 10-1 without him... but he is not as important as Peyton Manning is... so can you explain to me how he is more important

you can tell me all day that AP is not as good as he was last year... but the Vikings rushing offense is still much better than the Colts... which is ranked 31st in the fucking league...

so YOU'RE either an idiot talking out of his ass, or just flat-out retarded...

Hey asshat, what part of your post did I quote & respond to?

The part that was blatantly wrong and flat-out stupid.

Plain and simple. Type up all the big, bold text you want, doesn't change what I quoted from your post & responded to... did I respond with a bunch of stats saying you were wrong about Manning? Did I quote a single thing FROM your post ABOUT Manning? No. You just made yourself look like a complete clown.

I'm not going to start an argument about Peyton Manning.. he's obviously a great quarterback and will go down as an all-time great even if he never wins another super bowl... but I just think THIS YEAR Favre and Brees are higher up on MY LIST for MVP candidate... nice to see MY LIST which means NOTHING in the scheme of things, still gets people all huff & puff with anger.

lmao@you talkin about essay-long posts, IN an essay-long post of your own because you got offended that I made you look like a fool over somethin you posted... you're gonna open up a wormhole in the space-time continuum with that shit...

btw, say what you want about the Colts defense, but the fact is they're third in the NFL in fewest points given up per game... 5 spots higher than the Vikings... but we'll just conveniently ignore that little fact and pretend like it doesn't exist...

The Vikings made the playoffs last season... with Gus Ferrat and Tavaris Jackson playing at QB... Adrian Peterson had 10 TDs last season... he already has 12 this season... on pace to having 17 TD's

he's also on pace to having close to 1,600 yards on the season... he finished last season with 1,760... not that much less considering the whole season

last season he had 9 fumbles... he's had 6 so far this season... so his fumbling hasn't been that much worse... in fact his fumbles were worse last season if you average them out per game

but we'll just conveniently ignore those little facts and pretend they don't exist...

This again comes down to the MVP being about a player or a team. NBA MVP's go to the player who was most valuable to their TEAM (along with stats). MLB's MVP just simply goes to the best player. Is Favre a part of why the Vikes are 10-1? Sure. Would they be 10-1 with someone else? Most likely no. Would they still make the playoffs? Most likely yes, becuase defense WINS and they have the 2nd best run defense in the NFL.

Right now, VY is MUCH more valuable ot the Titans, and its completely obvious: they are 5-0 with him, and CJ has been playing even BETTER since he has been starting.

HMMM... let's see here.. this year, 9 of his 12 touchdowns have come from inside the 10 yard line... last year, only 5 of his 10 came from inside the 10...

HOW did they get inside the 10? More often than not, through the air...

last season he had 9 fumbles... he's had 6 so far this season... so his fumbling hasn't been that much worse... in fact his fumbles were worse last season if you average them out per game
reread my post, imbecile... I said fumbles lost... he's already had more this season than he had all of last year.

Nice try, tho.

5-0 out of an 11 game season does NOT make an NFL MVP, which is what you were arguing he could be earlier... 10-0 out of a 16 game season doesn't make one, either (IF he can manage to pull that off). Not when there have been at least 3 QB's EVERYBODY can agree on who have been leading their teams to a combined 32-1 record, and have played in every game so far.

Nice try, tho. Thanks for the sig quote, I needed a new one.

LOL...it doesn't? You act like its HIS fault he wasn't put in earlier..blame the coach, not him. Going 10-0 and pulling a team from a 0-6 record I believe would be the first time in the HISTORY of the NFL.

Being inserted onto a team, and *potentially* going 10-0 and putting your teams in to the playoffs is MVP material in my eyes. TO think otherwise is downright idiotic....which explains why YOU dont think so. Baffling.

Indeed, I ALSO needed new sig material...which you have MORE than provided over the course of your "Siccness" career. Congrats on that, faggot.
