To add to my previous answer; what would the point of the bible be, if everyone followed it? Nothing! Humans are screw ups. Was Jesus not betrayed by his own people? If he was there in the flesh and people were fucking up, what makes you think the world would be wonderful with just documented events? I know this is contradicting my first answer, but I was being very unrealistic.
If every one followed the bible.. wouldn't the world be a better place?
