The first War & Peace album is dope as fuck and Laugh Now Cry Later was a great comeback album. and Raw Footage had some gems in it too. Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It, It Takes A Nation, Jack N The Box, Better Get Used To It, Get Money Spend Money No Money, Hood Mentality

i dont care if he does kids movies, he's just making more money, so more power to him.
I hav no beef wit em but those cds suck.

No no no, I like Ice Cube....But I dont like Rick Ross and I dont even have to listen to that lying ass CO because theres much more REAL talent in Hip Hop!
So you and a lot of these dudes actually listen to Lil Wayne right? I mean, he's in prison for weapon charges.. keeping it real!

I always look forward to Cube, buts that because of his movies..not his music..I definitely respect as an artist and WC originator...he had heat for that ass back in the days...but musically today, I'll pass on him MOST of the time...

I thought that incident was 'cause Cube had beef with Kam over money and the fact that he knew that the "W" he was throwin up stood 4 Watts and as we all know he ain't from there? The story went that Kam's homeboy Solo caught him in traffic they got 2 arguin and then Solo whupped his ass and took his chain. The next night he flashed it onstage at a Cypress Hill show @ House Of Blues and took a picture....
Kam as in Bro. Craig from the Nation Of Islam. If you go back and look at the album Death Certificate you can see the F.O.I. (Fruit Of Islam) photo in the insert side by side with the Lench Mob, and they all had thier hair cut ("cut that jerry juice and get a bald head). Listen to the music, it was ALL Nation theme and inspired. Even the intro and outro had at the time one of the fiery Ministers form the NOI speaking (Dr. Khalid Muhammad). I was lookin on Google to find a picture of kam with Min. Farrakhan, but I think thats on his myspace page, but here is an album he had just dropped "Fruit Pruno" as in Fruit Of Islam. So it wasnt over no hand signs, it was deeper than that breh..

Cube aint from woodland hills, he's from 1e11 NHC neighborhood in WS S/C LA. ANd besides people hatin on em I heard from some older nuetral -as in not haters- cats that he banged the set for a little while. Cube dont rap about slangin dope and all that BS he rap about bein the don mega, the west, how the hood got issues, and if you fuck with his he'll fuck you up...you dont gotta be a killer to feel that way or understand that.

but on the bangin shit I don't know fo sure he contradicts himself throughout his raps with that, and some vouch some dont...most likely an affiliate.
Cube aint the only nigga that's contradicted himself lol Eazy called out Dre on the confusion that back in '85 Dre was pretty boy swaggin with a shag and sequins dancin and shit. Folk gave him a pass 'cause he was writin rhymes 4 a cat that really came from that but then after NWA he's believin it, kickin gangsta shit and rollin up and lightin up on his new album lol Then niggas who you or the niggas in they neighborhood know good and gotdamn well aint never claimed a set, rocked no flag, put in no kinda work, wait till they get a couple million and get g'd up with tattoo tears talkin 'bout they killas and shit. Oh yeah and these same niggas claim certain sets/cliques but they've been seen wearin more colored rags than Skittles and Starbursts put 2getha and they throw up more signs than the language allows....

The realist film about Gangsta Rap ever made. Loosely based on N.W.A. Yet, supported by the hottest Gangsta rappers at the time (including Eazy E & Ice Cube.)

'How can you change so quick from wearing lipstick to smoking on chronic at picnics"

Dr. Dre is the best example of "changing". He's basically a "lets do what sells more - prostitute".

"Yo I express I don't smoke weed or sess, cause it's known to give a nigga brain damage, and brain damage on the mic..."

Short time after that he calls his album "The Chronic".

All true, but the fact of the matter is Dr. Dre is the foundation where ever he's at. Every group / label he has departed from fell apart when he left.

The Chronic being the biggest album in Hip Hop history to break underground / gangsta rap into the mainstream. Death Row yada yada yada it started to fail once the Dr. left the label.

Yet, Dr. Dre can be all of the above, but if he dropped Detox today he'd outsell everyone's favorite rapper. And again, make history as the longest awaited album in Hip Hop / music history.

I would have thought a new young droop album that was decent would be the longest awaited album in hip hop history. lol

I heard Cube on TV say that he grew up in Woodland Hills. I can't remember what I was watching I think it was a talk show.....Maybe he lived in both places iono know.
he went to woodland hills high school, got bussed there for an academic program, but he lived in south central. cube never banged apparently but grew up in it and had close family members that banged. it obviously influenced his style and way of dress but he has never claimed to bang
