I watch & own pretty much nothing but rated R & Unrated movies but trust & believe if I had the chance to act I'd be in mostly Disney shit. When u fucking with Disney u getting a boat load of cash. That's where the real money is @. Anything that got to do with kids is good money. Most movies Cube plays in are average or crap. Fuck what anyone says.

But like I said Disney is where its @ esp if u paid ur dues & got a good relationship with the company. Raven Symone signed like a 60 something million dollar contract with them last year & that Hanna Montana chick has made like 25 mill fucking with Disney. That High School musical shit got them kids balling outta control.

I aint mad @ Cube. Playing in bullshit movies shouldn't matter now cuz his bad ones outwiegh his good ones IMHO.

Fred durst is the director too
Yikes.

Funny thing is, I was talking to a friend the other day and the topic of "what happened to..." came up, and Limp Bizkit was my number one MIA group. This explains a lot.

Very. As much as I find it contradictory to his "persona", it just furthers the idea that music is just entertainment, nothing more nothing less. GO listen to Cube's new album, hell, ANY Cube album, and you can see it.

i agree evil

if i had a chance to fuck w/ Disney, i would too.. $$$$$$$

id just like to see him wit his mean mug he always gave in his other flicks, not always smiling in shit

Cube already did those movies when he was younger. He is a family man now, and I can see why he is making these movies. I just find it comical that money can turn and once revered "gangsta rap" pioneer, is doing slapstick comedies where most of the cast is under 16.

Back in 1992, this would be called "selling out". Didn't Cube even touch on this subject back in those days?

Oh how times have changed.

It's been said before already. Cube is doing what he's doing and he's talented. He's not selling in he's buying in. Clint Eastwood starred in hella western flicks as a bad guy and Dirty Harry and he ended up doing comedies and other shit. People have the right to portray any character they want to further their careers. The money aspect is just icing on the cake.

If Cube were to remain the same in his movies he wouldn't be making a real strech as an actor.

Wanting Ice Cube to continue to play roles like his previous ones is just stupid IMO. That's like saying we want Al Pacino to replay Tony Montana, Frank Serpico, Michael Corleone etc etc... in every movie for the remainder of his career.

Ice Cube embraced us with his gangsta raps and took us through his movies. Now, he's embracing our kids and expanding his fan base as an actor. That's a true meaning of longivity. Much like Will Smith who played serious roles in "The Pursuit of Happyness", or "I Am Legend" etc etc...

Adam Sandler even played his first serious role (in a movie which escapes my mind right now), but I think wether your an rapper, or comedian it's always nice to see them move forward in their careers. The point being that people are not used to seeing them for who they really are (entertainers). People are stuck on the charaters that they portrayed early in their careers. Things change and people grow up and move forward.

Wishing for any actor to remain the same in every movie is pretty much wishing for every movie they're in to be a direct to DVD release.

sup wit that.. his last 8 movies seems like all disney.. i mean he gettin paid but wtf... what happened to the ice cube we was all raised on..
boys in the hood , playaz club , etc...

anyone else got thoughts on it??!?!
I actually saw an interview with Cube yesterday and they asked him about his PG movies and what not. His response was that the people that grew up listening to him are now grown and have kids. His TRUE FANS that have been there from jump street appreciate his movies because they can still be fans and even have THEIR kids be a part of that.

I think Cube is one of the best people to come out of the rap game. A bunch of girls in High School saw dude at Disneyland and asked for his autograph, and he told 'em NO because he was there with his kids, being a daddy. I have nothing but respect for that dude.
