I was more conservative as a kid, because I was ignorant, and as time went on and I was exposed to the reality of the world I became more liberal..... Conservatism never digs under the surface, it just looks at the face and uses logic. The problem with basic logic is that its rarely right cuz its based on asumptions....
here's an example, the first time I heard about affirmative action (middle school) I said "FUCK THAT THATS BULLSHIT" thinking I'm white so I'ma loose a job to someone just cuz their black, not knowing anything about history and the current state the blacks are in presently. As i became educated, I became liberal on the subject...
that is true pretty much because the underprivilaged think that they are being discriminated against (sometimes they are) and tend to believe that they are entitled to the money of those more privilaged who just happened to work hard for their money.
and also once people begin to make some money as they get older and begin to realize that the harder they work and more money they make the more the government wants to punish them by taking their hard-earned money away. and since conservatives are against high taxes and big government people tend to become more conservative as they get older.
