A guys I think I just blew out my Sony MDR V150's. Do headphones make like a little ringing noise when they blow out? My left hearphone is perfect, but the right one sounds f-ed up, it has like a highpitched ringing noise with crackling. I kind of like these headphones, I know there like only 20-30 bucks or so, but I like them. Can any of you guys recommend some better ones, maybe some that can handle more bass especially for Hiphop tracks, I assume it's the bass in some of my tracks that blew them out.

EDIT: WTF their perfectly normal sounding now. haha. Still though please recommend some better ones, I've had these for a while now.

Sony MDR-7506's all day on my end.

Alright thanks, just looked them up. Those look pretty d@mn good and at $100, that ain't too bad.

BTW, do you know if you can hook these str8 up to a computer through the 1/8 jack without audio loss of some sort or do you need an external audio interface to power them up more?

I was also wondering, has the ear padding worn out? Just wondering because the ear padding looks exactly the same as my MDR V150's and the padding has worn out on mine, especially around the outside edges, looks kind of tacky. The padding is just so paper thin, that's my only gripe about them. Well the actual padding itself is foam, but it's the outside black part I'm talking about, the stuff that holds the foam.

I own both pairs. You don't need anything else. All you need to do is plug the 7506's into the computer and you are set. For sound modules, keyboards, drum machines, etc you need a 1/4 adapter but that comes with in the package when you purchase em.

Cool thanks. I'll definitely check them out one day.
