anybody grow up with nothing for christmas?

i can honestly say i could remember at least 1 good christmas growing up. i got my first bike.

now that i'm older i guess the fam (us brothers) make up for it. a couple years ago i heard people spend around 500 for gifts and i spent a lil more than that this year.

just finished up today. just got to chip in for the last gift. anybody got similar experiences???

(don't say christmas is for kids cause i didn't get shit lol!)

i had the best christmas.. highlight being 1986, Nintendo Entertainment System..
moms threw the controller in a fabric softener box and wrapped just that.

I remember cuttin out pictures from toys outta the newspaper (drivin my dad crazy) and putting them on a wish list. I usually got 1 or 2 of the toys that I wanted to have.

Once I just wished for the Ninja Turtles game for NES and only got a retarded Ninja Turtles wallet instead...that xmas sucked lol

my parents were together for the most part and both worked, we would never get big gifts like game systems or power wheels and shit but they knew how to spread out the money so that me and my brother both were both stoked. Always been thankful for that.
I got the upmost compassion for the youngins during christmas time, so that's why I show love to the neighborhood kids especially the ones that I know have broken fucked up homes cause there's always a few.

but i played good santa found the place the shit was supposed to be tracked to on usps and delivered it like nigga santa.

i never really got big presents as a kid. my mom would randomly get me some shit that was on sale at marshalls or some had me down recycled present. but looking back the time with the family was a lot more valuable then the presents.

now that i am in a position to spoil my fam. i actually go out and spend money on them. right now prob the most i have spent ever on xmas. got my sister a wii and wii fit. my brother jordan pack and a cologne pack. got my dad sweaters and some tool shit. gotta shop for mom.
not having a gf during xmas actually gives u lots of free money to spend on ur fam lol
