I know there's a bunch of different posts about the new album, but instead of replying to one of them straight out the gate, I was letting the joint soak in for a week (calm down, I got two retail copies on order) before posting up.

I'm astounded by the range of views I been reading, so much so that having soaked it up I've got to put up a new thread because I can't easily reply to anything which has been said already - my view is too different to do that.

I seen people saying everyone has to support this album and that this is the one which opens doors, smashing on people who criticised this album. What the fuck is that about? Everyone is entitled to a view, positive or negative.

I bet there are people who have criticized the album who have supported bay music to the fullest and broken bread to support a lot of artists. I happen to be one of them, and yes, I think this new 40 album is garbage.

I'm one of 40's biggest fans. I had just 20 CD's when I bought my first 40 CD a decade ago. Now I have over a thousand, mostly bay music, and everything ever released on the Sickwidit label. And I mean EVERYTHING.

I've listened to this joint now about ten times solid right the way through, in my ride, on my system, and on my MP3 on the move. I can't believe 40 could put this out as the album to help the bay blow.

It was cool for about five minutes, Muscle Cars had me heated after Tell Me When To Go, and I was about to believe the hype. But the CD just falls apart after that, I was asleep before the end, its a mess of forgettable tracks.

Only the Studio Ton cut was bumping (finally a new Ton beat), on everything I own, the second half of the album is junk. I was dissappointed with B-Legit going crunk on his last album, but that was bearable, this was just weak.

In the circumstances, it's the most disappointing Bay album ever. I've loved every 40 water album put out before this, I've never once even considered that dude had fallen off when people was yapping that, but this time its true.

I'm supporting the album like some of y'all demanded, but I ain't goinng to play it too often. I've tried that for a week and I ain't feeling it, the last 8 tracks are horrible, I used to love Bosko production but his cuts are corny as fuck.

I expect people to bitch at me but c'mon now folks drop the emperors new clothes act, if something is this bad some people need to say. I will always support 40 but this album is a major major disappointment.

As far as trying to say something positive, Muscle Cars and Block Boi were both heavy, Sick Wit It II was cool, Tell Me When To Go and the first feds tune were nice even if the hyphy sound is getting a little repetitive.

Plus if 40 think this album will reach out to other regions like down south then good luck to him I admire his business savvy. But as far as bringing the bay back, how you supposed to do that with a bunch of boring crunk tunes.

I don't know, I'm genuinely surprised at how this album came out, it wasn't what I was expecting, I always expect to rep a 40 release to the fullest. This just isn't a coherent release, some hyphy tracks, some crunk, some R&B.

Maybe 40 was trying too hard to touch too many people on his BME debut. I hope he can do it big on the next one and put across his own sound for a full player, he was trying a few too many things on this one.

Honest reviews by a fair listeners is what this board needs. Fans got to keep it real these artist. If we don't how will they know to step they game up. If we keep saying every song that Bay artists put out is slappin, when they're not, than we can only expect average albums. And I want my money's worth. The Bay ain't back yet. But, it will be. And I'm ready to support all the good music that's coming out.
