BYOB does not have "rick rubin" written all over it.
He picks good fuckin' bands and produces their records, but he doesnt fuckin write the music. i mean it's more like coaching and sometimes gettin involved with arrangements and shit
not to say he hasnt sometimes made beats for his rap artists.. but only in hip hop does "producing" mean that you're makin a beat and shit.
Rick does use the same engineer a lot, at least for the rock records, which is Andy Wallace and that gives some of his bands similar sound i guess

i like em when they dropped that sugar single that CD was crazy and nice as fuck ...dont nobody make shit like they did in tha 90's i thiunik tha best music was in tha 90's for Metal/rock/ and rap ..real talk ... look at sevendust... deftones... fuckin KoRn... The Unkut... Man you are absolutely right when you say that. I say that shit everyday. Music doesnt make me feel like it did back then. I always find myself in the music stores buying the old Rap, R&B, Alt or whatever... This new shit is horrible. I'd say 85% horrible, 7% worth listening to, and 8% underground tight! Back in the 90's it was more of a variety of music on BET. You had every sound and every coast on T.V. now, you cant tell muthafuckas apart. Honestly, I dont know the newest song thats out and thats real talk.
