i listen to this cd every night at work for the last 2 weeks since i downloaded it...it's tits

but system of a down could fart on a cd an i'm sure i'd still buy it.



btw.....executive produced doesn't mean he had anything to do with the music.

I have some cds infront of me and the Executive Producers are....


Tomica Wright (MC Ren - Ruthless 4 Life)
Master P (Im Bout It)
Suge Knight (Murder Was The Case)
Travis O'Guin (Skatterman Snug Brim)

I highly doubt any of them had much to do with making the music on those cds.

Now I don't doubt Rick Rubin had a part in producing any or all of the songs on the album.....but the Executive Producer credit does not mean he did.


Look in the liner notes for each song and see who produced each song.

beastie boys-licensed to ill album
he did some shit for johnny cash also
dude is the bomb he does country-rap-rock everything
i even heard hes doing some shit with the dixie chicks

I googled Rick Rubin and this is what I came up with.





Anyway.....Rick Rubin runs American Recordings....which....GET THIS!!!!!

Is home to System of a Down and Johnny Cash among others.



But bottom line is Rick Rubin is great for music general.....so i'm just gonna shut up here since we all pretty much agree on that.

with rick rubin, if it says executive produced, he HAD something to do with the music. he's a control freak and perfectionist. he wouldn't put his name on something without his input being on it.

three of the most successful albums by j cash were produced by rubin.

he found slayer

the man is a genius. you all need to read The Men Behind Def Jam: The Radical Rise of Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. That is a nice book.
