I think you're right... I remember when I first started 10-11 years ago, I didn't want to tell anyone I was an emcee until I got things right... It's only when cats started telling me I had talent that I really moved towards pushing my work... You have to put in a lot of time, and use the criticism you're givin'... If you love hip-hop and want to be creative; make beats, or do graphics/video-production... Not everyone has the ability to transpose their words on-beat... No matter how much time they put in...
