WHAT ARE YALLS THOUGHTS ON MALL CD PRICES AND SHIT, LIKE SAM GOODY SELLS SHIT FOR LIKE 20 BUCKS SOMETIMES MORE. BUT BEST BUY HAS CHEAP PRICES BUT THATS AN ELECTRONIC STORE NOT A RECORD STORE LIKE A MOMS AND POPS LOCALS OR WHAT NOT. ANOTHER THING I'M ONE OF THOSE NIGGAZ THAT LIKE TO BUY MAYBE 2 OR 3 ALBUMS AT ONCE WHENEVER I GO TO THE RECORD STORE.. WHAT ARE YALL THOUGHTS ON THIS WHOLE SUBJECT MATTER... LAST BUT NOT LEAST DO YALL THINK LOWER CD PRICES WOULD END COMPUTER DOWNLOADING OR BURNING??

In all the survey's I've seen on this subject, the vast majority said they would buy music as opposed to downloading it if the price of cd's were lower.

Would lower cd prices put an end to downloading & burning? Fuck no. There will always be people who don't think they should have to pay for anything... Even when it IS worth the money.

I bought Lil Flip, Mystic, Frankie J and Dilated Peoples CDs over the past few years all because they were like $6.99 or $7.99 at Best Buy. They all turned out to be great albums that I probably wouldn't have even thought about buying had they been $13.99 or $14.99.

YOU ALL MAKE VERY GOOD POINTS, BUT ONE OF THE THINGS I'M WONDERING IS WHY IS SOME STORES CHARGING 18.99 OR BETTER FOR ALBUMS? WHY EVERY STORE IS NOT LIKE BEST BUY OR WHAT NOT YA FEEL ME? BUT I WILL ADMIT 14.99 FOR A ALBUM IS GOOD TO ME BUT 9.99 IS BETTER...

Albums are distributed to these stores for a certain price and then the respective STORE tacks on an amount above and beyond the distribution price. There will always be an MSRP, but this is the manufacturer's suggested retail price. *Suggested* is the key word.

THAT MAKES SENSE BUT EITHER WAY LOWER PRICES MEANS MORE ALBUM SELLS. IF ALL STORES WAS ON THE SAME PAGE THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT IMO..

Wherehouse is fuckin ridicilous...like 18.99 for a fuckin cd. the thing is though, when people REALLY stop buyin cds is when prices will go down.

i hate when something is originally priced at 18.99, and stores are like SALE! 17.99!

yea that is some bullshit right there....a fuckin dollar off a 19 dollar cd isnt a sale...is just a dollar closer to the real fuckin price...if cds were cheaper its easy that more people would buy it...but there is always some people who 'cant afford' a cd even if it were like 10 bucks

shit just the last year alone 150 wherehouse music's and tower record stores went out of business...they are feeling it. i think all those years when fans were complaining about cd prices being too high that the industry should have listened. but they didnt they just kept figuring they could keep pimpin fans to pay 15$ and up. shit backfired on them, technology stepped in and the fans aint quit since....i just think at some point tho as a FAN of music you gotta support your artists. if not how can you expect them to come back out again?

NinoBlakk- You aint bull shittin play boi! That's Real talk for eveyone!

.........WhereHouse listen after they got word of them 150 stores going out of business, on there last days they put a 30%-75% off sticker on hella CD's. Now if they whould have did that from the jump they would have been still in business, employee would still have jobs, feel me!

I still buy CD's from the shelf, like someone said here earlier..........I want that Quality! Not not Dj like funk flex sayin............"exclusive!...............Hot new joint" in the back ground!

Plus..........Downloading take too long. I'd rather jump in the mobb and buy it!

Soldier Hard...................................OUT!
