i completely agree with this article, but i remember in the past if a member would make some type of comment like this, the popular response was "dudes gotta get paid...as long as it still knocks...gotta put food on the table...etc"

I aggree with tha shit all tha way. Im a mobb deep fan and I didnt even think about pickin up they last album after I heard that horrible ass club shit with 50 cent. I think the problem with rap these days is that niggaz aint got no integrity no more. There are only a handfull of artists that actually have somethin to say these days. Dont get me wrong I slap tha hyphy shit as much as tha next man, but I feel that there are too many artists that just wanna please everybody. Fuck that. Be an individual. If niggaz aint fuckin with your album cause you aint goin dumb enough, that aint your muthafuckin audience anyway.

I decided to peep the Mobb Deep Cd, and listen to them as new artists. Its not a bad album at all, one of the best this year. It's just cool to hate on G-Unit on the Internet.

Rappers do need to step their game up before we have no options to listen to but hip-pop.

Yeah, good article... IMO tho - everybody (not just bay rappers) doin' some kind of gimmick or trend.
About people doin songs for the club, the street, and the ladies I think shows some versatility and they doin it hit a national/mainstream level.
