Because it's OK to be straight, and it's OK to live your life the way you want to, as long as it harms none. If I am a lesbian, and I am with another lesbian, it doesn't hurt anyone. If my friend is a gay man, and he dates men, he isn't hurting anyone.

Biological or psychological, I can't fathom calling homosexuality a defect. It doesn't harm anyone. All it does is creep out homophobes because part of them questions their own sexuality. However, nothing anyone can say, or provide their own facts for, can change anyone else's view in here. There are literally hundreds of other species that have "gay tendencies", probably the most noticeable is Dolphins. Dolphins have been observed having "gay" relationships and often times, these relationships last their entire lifetime, meaning, two male dolphins will mate only with each other and "stay together" until death.

Also, if being gay is a choice, how do you explain scientists that managed to genetically alter flys to switch their sexuality?
