Do you think gay people are born that way or choose to be?

I don't like gay people, lesbians are coo, but fucc a gay ass man. Hate is a strong word so I wouldnt say I hate them, but I don't feel sorry for them or the way soceity treats them. I'm not homophobic or anything, so fear isnt the issue, I just don't like them muthafuccas. I don't think anyone is born gay, they might have female characteristics but if your boy you're a boy. Some people are born with two reproductive organs so obviously they will be confused about their sex but that's the only acception, i think they are called hermaphrodites. Other than that its by choice.

In some cases, it could be a choice. But mostly it's hormonal, and chemical. Although oddly, even though it's 2005, there's a group of people that still think it's a choice all of the time. I have lesbian friends, and they're just not physically attracted to men. We have common male friends, but it wasn't a choice they made not to be attracted to men. I don't feel sorry for them because they're proud of who they are. And prejudiced people are everywhere. Racists, bigots, homophobes. The same people who look down on gays are usually also racist. Fear and hate are hand in hand. It's not a choice in most cases. Yes, people are born gay. It comes down to this: If you are what you are, do you live a lie and try to blend in or do you live your life??

If I were a lesbian, I'd probably not be very happy if I had to force myself to be with men. It'd be like a straight man having to force himself to be with another man. You wouldn't like it. That's how it would be. It's chemical and hormonal. I've met people who were all sorts of swingers, and bisexual, who went all which ways and it seemed like a choice, but I believe it's still hormonal and chemical. Just more confusing. Don't be fooled, your DNA points you in a lot of directions. As we creep into the more educated age, more and more people will begin to understand this stuff.

I agree wit that shiet. It aint no documented 100 percent PROOF that says it's biological, so can't nobody tell me different. That shiet is nasty as hell in my opinion, but as long as foos aint flaunting that shiet I guess it's aight. Freal tho, for anybody trynna say it's biological, why don't you show some supporting evidence that states without a doubt that it's biological. Until then, Ima continue to believe that it's unnatural and foos got mental problems, or they trynna rebel, etc etc.

I never could understand why fools hate gay people. If you aint gay then dont even worry about them. The people who have a probem with gay people are usually insecure for one reason or another. I personally dont give a fuck if a man sucks dick, that don't concern me one bit, so to all the gay-haters, why should it concern you?

I believe two things: that fools are either born gay, or if not born, then 're-wired' to be gay in childhood through sexual abuse expieriences.

Think about, as a man, my attraction to a woman is soooooooo damn strong. There is no way I can simply choose to repel against that attraction. Its not a choice.

Of course being gay is biological. If you cant see that, you're missing something thats blatantly obvious. I mean it doesnt always have to be this way, but for the most part, it seems to be. Or else if someone becomes gay later in life they usually have had a traumatic experience as a child or a bad childhood period.

I don't mind them, as long as they dont try to make any moves on me, then it would get lucky. Im with you in that i dont understand it at all though, and I dont think its natural. At all. But I wont judge someone just cause thats the way they are..

Eventually I believe society will accept gay marriage, and gays being together. I mean, some men are *amazingly* able to enjoy two women being together, despite the fact that most lesbians would not want a man around them during sexual activity.

But, over time, bigots will become less and less abundant. Like back in the day, it was considered horrible and taboo for a black man to date a white woman. People said the same thing about that. Yes, a man/woman situation, indeed, but also very taboo and wrong for the time. I think as we move into the future, there will be less and less fear, hate and discrimination against those of different race, religion and sexual orientation. I mean, I HOPE in the future there is less of that.

Kids see a lot more fucked up shit on TV, and if they see a gay couple on the street that's the least of their problems, I think. The way to handle that would be to explain that some people are attracted to a different standard than the rest of us. But to each their own. As long as people discriminate, there will be prejudice of all kinds.

Why would someone choose to be hated? And lead such a hard life? Hardwired into your BODY is the code by which you LIVE. If the wiring was straight, you'd have a hard time making a decision to be gay. If the wiring made you gay, you'd have a hard time being straight. With education comes enlightenment, and with enlightenment we all back away from ignorance and fear of the things we do not understand.

I don’t think anyone wakes up one morning and says “Hey, I think I’m going to like men for now on.” Either you’re attracted to men or women (or both) and that’s that. Any straight man will understand that there is no way that you can force yourself to be attracted to another man; it’s just not possible. Therefore, it’s not a choice; it’s simply something that you’re born with.

With that being said, I see no reason why one should criticize gays. The author of this thread stated that he doesn’t mind dykes, but can’t stand gays. This clearly shows that he simply is reacting to what he perceives as gross, because he is only attracted to females. (Dykes are cool because I like women; gays are bad because I don’t like men).

Other than that, the only other issue besides the “gross factor” is the religious factor. Ya’ll should already know my opinions on religion and I won’t go there, but I will state that the religious typically argue that being gay is a sin, and that’s why they oppose it. However, all religious people live in Sin every single day, making themselves hypocrites.

none of this information proves being gay is biological. Terms like "evidence suggests" and "possible link" and research done on "gay" sheep does not prove anything. There is no concrete evidence that supports being gay is biological. imo, i think gay people and supporters are funding research like this so that they won't be persecuted anymore, because then they would be able to say without a doubt its not their fault. Im christian and I think its wrong period. But i don't hate them, just their lifestyle which i believe is wrong.
