I feel ya... aint shit comin out lately. I can't think of the most recent release I bought that I felt was worth my money. I think I got one early 2006 release worth my money: T-Kash Turf War Syndrome (I only paid a few bucks for it but it's worth a lot more). Baydestrian was worth it cuz of the Son of a Pimp download, but if I had paid that much for just Baydestrian I woulda been disappointed. Some of the shit released for free has been better than anything I bought. I got hella holes in my collection though since I'm young, so Imma keep picking up classics and proven music.

At least there a lotta legal ways (mostly Myspace) to listen to albums ahead of time these days, so you can kinda avoid bad purchases.

Only assholes don't support music they like (and broke people..can't hate on them)
Why buy it when it sitting in front of your face for free.. save the hassle of going to the store and then coming home to convert it to mp3...I guess im getting old and dont really care about the artist anymore.... plus you never know how good the cd is untill you here it.. Rap music is so watered down these days anyway... but to each his own.. do what you like...

I download pretty much everything...and I buy the ones I hella like (which I gotta admit, hasn't been a lot this year). Part of it is that if an artist actually puts out a quality product I want to support it (especially since its more rare these days) and another part of it is that my hard drive has crashed a few times so I wanna have a hard copy of good albums and if its a CD i bought at a store, I take better care of it than burnt CDs so they're less likely to get scratched up. Another part of it is that I enjoy having an actual CD collection...kinda like collecting baseball cards or something. But I guess not everyone thinks like me because people like free shit...so i guess like you said, to each his own. :ermm:

there was a point when i thought id never buy cds again

i been buyin hella shit lately tho and the joy i get from cd shoppin coppin unwrappin and the whole shit is still the same i felt when i used to catch the bus to spend my only 20 dollars on some cd i wanted back in jr high and shit

zombies (burnt albums) are cool for previewing cds before u buy

also theres way too much shit coming out to be buyin it all burns are still coo but to me havin that shit is where its at . album covers and booklets are an extension of the artists' album concept/vibe .

i thought the dj fresh cds coming out lately have been some of the tightest shit out the bay , the j stalin and beeda weeda one in particular . shady nate definitely got knocks on his shit , the one with money b and that aint seen nuthin track ... fresh is just tight on the beats , he makin some good music right now .

that jacka/demolition men shit is tight it hit for like the 7 at rasputin
