I think mac dre's death unified the bay more than anything. Its obvious he has done more as a martyr than he ever did while he was alive. That said I think without his creativeness the "hyphy movement" won't reach the potential that it could of.

on the flip side...keep it focused on the music...i dont want my daughter thinking
"goin dumb" is a way of life...remeber when "the chronic" came out..and alotta you non smokers startin gettin high and drinkin gin and juice while takin a shiznit...biiiiiiiatch lol

Do ya'll think the Hyphy Movenment aint strong enough without MAC DRE? Let's say it does or doesnt catch on around the nation, on a mainstream hype. Do ya'll think its strong enough, after E-40 what else do we have to offer thats great, keak is the shit but I don't see kids in North Dakota slappin super hyphy or some teenage kids from vermont playing white tees blue jeans and nikes. People always talkin and hatin on people for reppin Mac Dre but really he was the one who should be leadin the Hyphy Movement, it would have been comedy seein Mac Dre on mtv, all dressed up actin a foo. What do ya'll think.
i can see dre havin' a show on bet or mtv, sum shit called "thizzin' on the streets" or "treal world" or sum other shit...can u imagine his mtv diary?

ok let me just throw this in the mix...

what if e40 never got signed to jive records? wut if he never got put on a major label?

would he still be the ambassador of the bay. what if "lil bo johnson" (for example) got that jive deal, then wut?
young baby pubes,..baby pubes

everyone bombed on you for not knowing who cougnut was and you from his city and all,..i aint said nuttin but on this history lesson i have to say
why do labels sign indies?...answer! cause they are eating up the market that they use to own,..so the had to play ball on waters terms! why,...cause he was soaking up all the sales in the south on his own,..well yeah the head screw head (r.i.p.) had something to do with that along with all the family members water got,..you know he would travel on his own to network with the tony drapers' and j. prince's thru out the south!

his geting signed had nothign to do with the tittle,...it was the tittle that he earned that casued him to get signed,....now you can go to recess!

Shut tha fuck up....fer real

MD unified tha bay...there was no real hyphy movement yet or way of livin...people wasn't giggin and shit when they wuz dancin until Dre....Dre got big that even white kiods who never heard of him was slappin his shit...MD never made it? MD had hella bread...wutchu talkin bout he didn't make it...he didn't even have this big bay movement we have rite now, and still wuz doin 60,000 in sales...MD started this gettin stupid, hyphy, and retarted shit....honestly i give props to 40 watter but alotta of tha shit he do is bitin offa MD but at least he gives MD his props....MD woulda been the head of this shit...cuz he got more creativity than 40 (and don't give me that bullshit that 40 is creative cuz he makes up words) 40 is tha ambassador of the bay, but tha bay wouldn't be where its at RITE NOW w/o MD....

the shit 40's talin about now that dre passed dre was rappin about 3 years ago..40 took what he was doin and ran with it which is good casue now the bay is gettin sum nationwide exposure but like pressplay said if 40 never woulda got signed to jive then people would have way less respect for em as a artist imagine if dre wouldnt of got locked up and he was the one to get signed to a major at that time i can almost gurantee he woulda did more major numbers than 40 dude had more of a mass appeal and hella more charisma

ain't no one 'dick riding' mac dre homozlice

peeps been representing mac dre and his legacy that blew up (the real hyphy movement) before and after he was MURDERED

don't forget he's not here or breathing air so he can't speak out on anything thats happening or taking place in reality

i thank all the people that keep reppin mac dre to the fullest and that support his work by speaking out on shit...

true legends never die

nothing more than that, you can go back to listening to your favorite music now

p.s. one persons death or word can affect a nation as a whole

think about that

thats how i know niggas on this board be kids, like 15 and 16 years old
cause Dre started this whole Hyphy shit. Keak came up with the word, but Dre came up with the whole concept, the sound, the life style. there would be no Thizz without Dre there would be no F.A.B. without Dre. nobody was feeling F.A.B. before he signed to Thizz and more than a majority of the songs out now contain Mac Dre lingo not 40's or anyone else's except maybe Keak.

As of right know the 2 bay artist that i can really see get nation wide attention would be Balance, and The Team. They got the delivery that i think is easier for people outside of California to listen to
