Federation set it off with Hyphy. Keak set it off with Super Hyphy. I think that Federation got more hyphy songs than Keak and would probably hit a national level better just cause they don't have that garble. Some people outside of the bay don't feel that raspy, somebody's chokin me voice. Although, I've heard more of Keak outside of the bay and Kali, but that's just Super Hyphy and Tell Me When To Go. I'm just hopin that Rick Rock comes better on the next Fed's album. On the first album most of his beats were mediocre at best compared to some other shit he's done.

When i think hyphy, first thing that comes to my mind is Keak...The nigga made up the word, and introduced everyone to that style on the microphone...Keak and Dre had that hyphy song before the Fed gang dropped theirs...I cant take nuthin away from the Fed gang though...They saw a segment of the market and decided to make most of their music like that...

I gotta go with Keak for the simple fact when our own radio stations weren't even fuckin with bay shit, keak had this little song called "t-shirts, blue jeans, and nikes" in 2003 which forced the radio sations to start playing it due to high demand for the song. Which lead to the Federation even being on the radio.

That song was huge for the bay! I remember the summer before it started gettin spinz on the radio my football team would go stewie to that song and "Say it Aint So" by Birdman. Those were the days. When it got spinz on the radio I didnt really look at it like this will change Bay radio, I was just like man they are finally knockin Keak during the day! So I gotta go wit Keak.

I THINK THATZ WHAT HELPED THE FEDERATION GET INTO THE LIMELIGHT THE HYPHY SHIT.. KEEK GOT RESPECT BEFORE THAT.. KEEKS SHIT ALWAYS BEEN TIGHT..THAT FIRST FEDERATION ALBUM WASN'T HOT AT ALL.. I COULDN'T EVEN BUMP ONE SONG.. BEFORE SKIPPING.. I REALLY TRIED TO FEEL IT BECAUSE I SPENT THE MONEY FOR IT BUT IT NEVER GREW ON ME.. SEEM LIKE RICK ROCK DIDN'T GIVE THEM HIS BEST BEATZ.. BUT THEY WANTED TO RAP TO THEM SO IT AINT HIS FAULT.. THE FEDERATIONS FUTURE PROJECTS WILL BE BETTER THOUGH SINCE THERE GETTING MORE EXPOSURE THRU THIS HYPHY MOVEMENT.. THE LAST COUPLE OF TRACKS I HEARD FROM THEM WAS SMASHIN.. THE FIRST ALBUM REALLY SUCKED THOUGH. JUST MY OPINION NOTHING PERSONAL.. HIGHLY HYPED..
