What the hell does Keak producing hyphy tracks have to do with anything. Keak never claimed to be producer, but he did claim to have invented the word, which he did. Feds took the word and went with over some nice Ric Roc beats, But Keak holds the crown in this hyphy ish! And when I think of crunk I think of Eightball and MJG and Al kapone, they been doin it way longer since Lil Jon was A@R for SoSo Def.

Keak did invent the the term, but before the Feds came out with "Hyphy", Keak was getting no love from the radio stations. After the Feds blew with "Hyphy", it sort of paved the way for other Bay Artists to get spins on 106KMEL and 94.9. Soon after, Keak blew up with "Super Hyphie". So basically, Keak STARTED it, and the Feds COMMERCIALIZED it.

To me The Federation are the Ying Yang twins of the Bay Area, their lyrics are trash but they know how to get the crowd hyped and have a dope producer backing them. I perosnally don't play their shit at all, but I do wish them luck because hopefully if they blow it'll give other Bay artists a chance to shine..

@ FED LIFE and DJ PIMP, The Feds don't rely on lyrics to sell records, they rely on Rick Rock. Their lyrics are very plain. No better than the Ying Twinz, The Franchize Boyz, and other groups that rely on the instrumental to push the record. Feel free to post up some of their lyrics and prove me wrong..
