with a Prius you have to run the ground wire directly through the Ignition and link it to the main gas lines down the center. So that you will fully recieve the amplification that you need when starting the vehicle. Its best to also have a lead wire from the ignition directly into the gas tank itself to help with grounding and to avoid static interference with the hybrid battery.
Also, you should wrap you amp up in a blanket to insulate it, you can avoid the issue of draining your battery by wrapping your amp up in several towel or a blanket in your trunk.
and remember, if you drain your battery on the prius and need a jumpstar, you have to reverse the cables. Connect the negative (-) to the positive(+) end, and the positive to the negative(-) cor else you could really mess us the cell charging system.
