Most of the customers and fans of rap music are white and live in the suburbs. They are part of the reason why it is as big and commercial as it is, un-fortunately. That is a give in.

I think he also wanted to release that remix with MD, which is a slick track.

not callin anybody a 14 year old girl...just saying its a perception that some ppl might have,so trying to explain to you where ppl are comin from,and why they have the opinions they do.its not about the artist...lets say you come up to a stoplight and there is a 35 year old man in the car next to you bumpin n'sync hella loud all into it.i dont know about you but the first thing i am going to think is "hahah damn,that guy is hella gay!". why is that? cause he is listening to the same music that 14 year old girls listen to.im not judging n'sync for making that kind of music,cause they know why they make that music cause they have a certain fan base. so do artists like 50 cent,so the same perceptions apply. its not even about 50 cent,i could care less what he does.

the thing about re-releasing an album is, most of the time......... the re-release has the same soundscan # as the original......... so they can say their record sold more copies.

Actually, The RE-RELEASE comes with a DVD that has a Video for every song on the album. A case of "Hey, I'm gonna bite his idea and Run wit it!". "ESHAM" out of Detroit, Michigan was and is the first to do that with his latest album that was released on April 19 2005 titled "A-1 YOLA". He's Very well known in the Undergroud rap world and is highly Hated and Often Called a "DEVIL WORSHIPPER" when he really aint. His album comes with the Audio CD and a DVD with a Video for All the songs on the album (except 2 or 3 Tracks.). I'm pretty sure 50 Ran with the Idea after hearing and seeing the ESHAM DVD/CD Package. You might say "how does 50 know about ESHAM?"...Well 50's Butt Buddy EMINEM is or was a in a RAP war with ESHAM (although shady was to Pussy to actually reply to ESHAM'S Disses and Accusations Of Biting His Style and Getting rich off a Style he Created in The Late 80's Known as ACID RAP). So Once again, The biting of styles is done once again. Fuck 50 cent & faggot ass Eminem. They aint "REAL" rap artist's, Just a Wack force of bullshit raps Being Forced and Drummed into the Ears Of Suburbian white Kids and America period through T.R.L., RADIO, and the Now "WHITE OWNED" "BLACK.ENTERTAINMENT.TELEVISION. (B.E.T.)

Dunno how pussy they are since they beat his ass here and he's supposed to be def in one ear

Some of you cats are bitter ass haters. I guess it's better to vent your frustration on a message board than to go out and act stupid in public.

Lemme guess, you would say that shit to his face, right?

You didn't many valid points. Your numbers are screwed. 8 mil domestic is more like it and dude said 11 mil international. How is that the same as 4 mil? 7 months into Get Rich it was steady selling. Current release's sales haven't maintained a steady pattern(other than drooping). Sure he sold a grip out the gate, cuz the album was hyped. But the album doesn't have legs and the sales have been dwindeling over time. That's why they need to add something to it to improve the lagging sales.

50's current album isn't a flop by normal standards, but by his own which he set with his previous release.

If this album was doing so well why not re-issue the last album instead?

Re-issues are for OLD albums or those with dwindeling or unimpressive sales

THANK YOU-
and thats all myself and others were pointing out to you-

but by his own which he set with his previous release.
two comments, same as before;

1. I feel your assumption is way to early;
Comparing an album's sales that's been out yearssssssssssss to an album that's been out for a few months-
I don't see how that does not registered as "ridiculous" in your head.

2. It is not easy for an artist to match or exceed their first release.
This is widely known-your not sayin anything new on the subject, however I just see you jumpin adhead of time.
Give time a time-you never know.

Music is entertainment, when your NEW, you generate a buzz/sales/national following, etc.
After your first release, your NOT NEW anymore, your OLD, someone else is upcoming to take the spotlight and your fans/sales.
It's a never ending cycle.

Miscommunication then, because that's been my point this whole time.

Because if this album had the legs of the previous one then they would not be making a re-release.
If this was selling so well, as it stands, then there would NOT be a re-release, why fuck with something that's doing good? It's not, so they make a re-release.

Re-issues are for OLD albums or those with dwindeling or unimpressive sales

I don't see how re-releasing an album when it's already "doing so good" doesn't register as "ridiculous" in your head.

you just made the point of why they "need" to re-issue the album with some kind of gimmic

D-LOCC60 AND COLDBLOODED ARE BOTH CORRECT IN THIS ARGUMENT... THE MASSACRE ALBUM DID NOT FLOP BUT BUT BUT IN 50'S EYEZ IT MIGHT NOT HAVE REACHED THE NUMBERS HE WAS HOPING FOR.. 50 SAID HIMSELF ON MTV THAT IF THE MASSACRE SOLD ONE ALBUM LESS THEN GET RICH TO HIM THATS A FAILER... BUT D-LOCC60 BRINGS UP A GOOD POINT ABOUT THE MASSACRE ONLY BEEN OUT FOR JUST A WHILE, BUT COLDBLOODED BRINGS UP A GOOD POINT ABOUT THE RE-RELEASE IS JUST BEING USED AS A TOOL TO UPGRADE MASSACRE SELLS... BOTH YOU GUYS ACTUALLY AGREE WITH ANOTHER BUT YALL JUST WORD IT A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY THATS ALL.......

AND THAT'S YOUR OPINION. YOUR ENTITLED TO THAT, BUT BY NO MEANS IS IT FACTS.

ARE YOU EMPLOYED BY Shady/Aftermath RECORDS??
ARE YOU IN G-UNIT??
DO YOU MANAGE ANY ASPECT OF 50 Cent's BUSINESS??

YOU ON THE OUTSIDE/SIDELINE SPEAKING ON 50 Cent's ALBUM MOVES??
WHAT CREDENTIALS DO YOU HAVE TO SPEAK ON Shady/Aftermath RECORD LABEL decisions??

WHAT'S THAT SAY ABOUT YOU-?
I'M TALKIN ABOUT SOME REAL SHIT.
YOU ON THE OUTSIDE/SIDELINE WITH NO FACTS, on why Shady/Aftermath RECORD LABEL made the decision to do a re-release.
NO ONE HEAR KNOWS FOR A FACT WHY A RE-RELEASE WAS DONE, SO WHY SIT BACC LIKE SOME HOES AND GOSSIP ABOUT A RICH NIGGAZ RECORD LABEL DECISIONS AND HIS 4X PLAT ALBUM "FLOPPIN".

Gossip on a homie in the streets and you'll get a phat lip at the least.
I came up differently-
My mentality is not in sync with gossip.

I've said this a million times on the Sicc, it applies when folkz speak on something/someone they know nothing about(FACTS);
to quote X-RAIDED;
-Who is Y'all Niggas
"SHOW ME YA'LL CREDITALS BEFORE YOU SPEAK ON THE X-RAIDED".

CB-
DO WHAT YOU DO.
WE DON'T HAVE TO SEE EYE TO EYE, MY LIFE WON'T BE AFFECTED.
D-LOCC JUST CHOPPIN DIFFERENT VIEWS UP WITH YA.
IT'S GRAVYYYYY.

50 Cent refuses to slow down, as he prepares a new version of his chart-topping album, The Massacre. But this time, 50 will include videos to accompany all of the songs, as well as an all-new, previously unreleased track.

“I'm the king of originality,” said 50 Cent. “No artist has ever done this before. The videos allow consumers to see exactly what I was thinking about when I made the music.”

The original album’s “Outta Control” will be replaced by the “Outta Control Remix,” which features the newly recruited Queens duo, Mobb Deep.

AllHipHop.com: The new trend in hit records seems to be re-releasing albums the same year. What new features will the re-released The Massacre have?

50 Cent: What I did was, we shot visuals for every record on the album and the remixes on there with me, Mobb Deep, and M.O.P.’s actually featured in the videos. So, they’ll get a chance to see that. And all those visuals will come out on September 6th. It’ll have a DVD with 21 videos and it’ll have the new album with the new Mobb Deep [single].

AllHipHop.com: What made you do that, that new twist to it?

50 Cent: I felt like the ultimate album would be the album where you can visually see what the artist was thinking about each song [and] know how they pick what is going to work commercially. Some people are so artistic that they just care about the actual music and their choice. They pick their favorite record, even though their favorite records aren’t going to be appealing to the masses. It’s not going to actually work. And those artists, 90% of them turn out to be VH1 specials.

mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn-

I'm a different breed-

It's one thing to express your opinion that you don't like an artist, but when you speak, without CREDENTIALS(no FACTS), on the subject matter that this post ventured into-that's some gossip shit.

I ain't for or against 50 Cent.
I don't care what he sales.

But, ya'll can have this post-
D-Locc has said more than enough.

You're gettin all extra sensative and shit. Your all caps, your callin people hoes, accusations, ect. :rolleyes:

Where in this post did i talk shit about 50? Where in this post did i flaunt my industry connections(or your assumed lack there of) to lead you to believe i'm so ignorant? What other than my making valid points and voicing an opinion contrary to yours got your feelins so hurt for you to react like that?

You can get access to soundscan numbers just the same as everyone else on the internet. Follow the trend of his album sales. They peeked and have fallen off. Sure he sold a lot, sure he sells more than virtually everyone else. Does that not mean there was a standard set by his previous release, a goal?

If he were so concerned about being creative and letting people into the mind of 50 he would have either made the DVD for the massacre and sold it seperate or he would have made a re-issue w/ dvd for the previous album.

The only reason to include something like this as a re-issue is to increase album sales. Yes or no?

If your answer is no, then why sell it as an album re-issue? It would have been an entirely new release as a DVD or whatever.

If yes then admit to yourself that the reasoning is to improve his declining album sales.
