to start your own lable or production company you gotta have artists or at least a producer.....are you a producer or an artist?....if not, then get some.
ive never been to portland....is there a market for the music you wanna sell?(im assuming you wanna do rap music)....
independent lables dont have the large bugets of the majors so you gotta figure out inexpensive ways to market your artists to you local market......i say go for it.....dont worry to much about paperwork and stuff like that till you get youre name out and you lean more about the legal side of owning a lable

I'm sayin, you shouldn't complain about a flooded market, then talk about your debut(?) album in the same paragraph...it sounds CORNY. Just let the people decide if you're the minority or not...nobody needs to hear it from you.

Hahahaha.... It might sound corny to you but I think I explained myself well enough....

Of coarse I'm gonna let the people judge it, unlike other people I'm confident enough with my product to say that it's gonna be great. Nothing wrong with that.... If anything you should see that I might be setting myself up for a fall if our album doesn't live up to what I said it would be.
Knowing that, I still say it's gonna be a cut above the rest.
Why? Because I'm confident with our product....
