Almost every mc and wanna be mc and even the newer freestyle mc's seem to "freestyle" about how much they're holdin and distributing. Does anybody know how much crack u gotta sell to become an official d-boy in the rap game? Let me know so i can start slangin that snow and when i reach that requirement i'll go ahead and start writing songs about the d-boy life and start making some of that real paper.

i think you have to have a career or a retired career in selling crack that can possibly be verified by 'the streets' where you pump.
selling a few rocks in your life dosent count, and buying it hard (you aint doin the controllin') dosent count.
and bragging on song about a parent bieng on crack/selling your parent crack is the sucker way into the "d-boy lyrics", to me.
you can tell if someones really into the game...because someone who dosent sell crack will have absolutely no idea what hes talking about half of that time.

Mayne thats the prob I got wit somma these mixtape rappers out in N.Y., most of em tryin to prove 'how many brick they sold' but once u see em on Smack dvd talkin shit, you know that nigga aint about shit and is doin what er-one else is doin, rapping about it to seem hard when he prolly aint......

i believe the rule book i received when first stepping into the "hood" stated....
d-boy or "dope boy" only receives his strips after at least year on the track or spending 5+ years in jail for selling crack......
smoking crack on the other hand automatically disqualifies you as a "d-boy"
