Its a valid question. How many songs have to knock on a disc befor eyou buy it. I'm talking about an album that is full of new artists. WHen it has established artists many people buy records w/o giving it a scond thought. But newer cats need to have a quota. WE NEED RULES FOR THIS SHIT. When people violate the rules we can spray em wit ack rite.

18 songs on a disc.

My opinion. if you want me to BUY it. And mind you I NEHHHVER buy shit. Sad but true. I got a few in car, the classics in the closet and thats it. People like me...to get ME to buy some shit. I need at LEAST 9 songs on there that are not just good. I mean they have to KNOCK. I have got to say DAYUM 9 times before I buy a muthafuckin thang. Real talk. Bread is crumblin all around me and I got duties, taxes, and a family. You want my 18.99...fuck it.... TWOMP.... you want a dub from my pocket.... fuck the radio. I need at least NINE that I can knock.

The other songs have to be decent and solid where I dont really HAVE to forward it. Put another way. I need to be able to ride in my car from Oakland to LA without changin the channel. I need to be able to go from Atlanta to Augusta on YOUR CD. I made that trip on C-BO's first tape many times.

That's a tallorder, but of you are talking about money.

Now all that goes out the window if you got a one hitta quitta onthere. Those are few and far between. Bitches buy cd's off one hitta quittas. Me, I just lower the quota. WIth a one hitter on there, I might only need 5 songs total that knock because that hitta is going to get the rewind hella times anyway.

So the question is..... exactly.... what is your line in the sand. WHat's your standard. WHats the rules to this shit. How many songs gotta knock for you to buy something.

Now bootleg....5 dollas.... that's anotha matter. But for a Dub?.... what is it?

I'd rather artists only put 12 good tracks on their cd instead of putting 6 extra tracks that are crap on there for me to skip. I can stand an album that has incredible, funky beats but mediocre lyrics, but overall, I'd say about 7 hot tracks and have the rest be solid. Otherwise, no money from me...

Throw out the bullshit interlude tracks...where rappers just try to act hard and take up space on the cd....give me a cd that slumps atleast half or more of the cd...so if its 17 tracks..shit better have atleast 9 bangers on it...oh yea, if yo put some cd out with like only 12 songs and try to charge me 15.99 for your cd...I ain't buying it (unless you established)...I really would like to see cds where all you have on there is the songs and no fucken bs intros and outros..thanking every muthafucka u know or wish you knew on your cd....hate them long ass songs with some guy talking like 5 minutes before I can hear the damn song...also some ppl got some nasty looking album covers..I can't even sometime comprehend how some artists can put some whack ass covers out and be happy with it..I mean that's your pride and joy out there..and you put some bootsy ass cover for the cd....the look of the cover can affect the sale of a cd (sad to say, but its true)...anyways im done...hehee..=P

It isn't like there's a certain number...... basically if I get a good feel for the album I'll go buy it

These are the artists that I buy no matter what:
E-40, Jay Tee, Baby Beesh.....

I think you need 8-10 tracks or to be more accurate roughly HALF the album should knock and there should also be 2-4 songs that dont nessecarily knock but are worthy of listening to and dont fuck up the flow of the cd.
