Sup, hopefully someone here has some experience in upgrading their memory and processor. Right now I got only 128Mb of memory and a pentium 3 800 mhz processor. I wanna upgrade both but dunno how. Rit now they got a good ass deal at Dell, for $469 you get you a desktop with a free flat panel upgrade and a free 80 GB hard drive. I'm low on tha money so I'm stickin to my shit and I know it's pretty cheap to get the parts to upgrade.

800 is decent, if you cant afford the 400USD dell, i would just wait, and would upgrade the current system. to 512MB RAM. i dont know if you can upgrade the CPU though, usually a lot of systems cant, or if you can its not that much different in speed...upgrade the RAM.

Dont EVER buy pre-made comps from companies...youre WAY better off building one yourself. If ANYTHING goes wrong with a pre-made system, you have to make an appointment to have a Dell or whatever company you have,IT guy come out and look at it.....but any trouble shooting you do over the phone is where the problems are.All there costumer servicing is through INDIA!SO you get to talk a dude or chic that sometimes dont do english very well....and that sucks.AND...if you crack open any part of your comp...the warranty is voided, and then your fucked. So i HIGHLY recommend you to build your own....which is cheaper any damn way!I spent $200 less on my shit...and its better than a damn Dell!!!!Just some advice...

save the loot and get another computer, just buy one part at a time or somethin, only spot your gonna find memory for that thing is at a used computer shop. memory changes all the time so the stuff that came out in say like 2000 isnt the same that is used in 2004 basicly
