your right... when i said that i was talking to these young producers basically telling them that they wont be seeing any money until it hits radio/tv... i can give u guys all kinds of examples of situations where nobody signed any paperwork or a sample never got cleared and all the sudden a song blows up! xzibit's voice was sampled in an alternative song that became a national hit without it being cleared... he waited for it to blow up and ended up getting over 50% of the song! so yes get the paperwork straight before hand! when i say paperwork, i mean the writer splits and work for hire forms. (depending on which side u r on).

now if you are truly unknown that 5gz may seem good dependin on the situation,i would just make sure everything is in writing and in clear understanding. i still on that entry level kinda but since im learning more about this business i feel iam worth a lot more....me personally i wouldnt take that risk,iono just learn more on this industry stuff,the game is shady..just protect yoself whateva yal do -
