I'm beginning to think that when you go mainstream you're setting yourself up for failure. The Bay is known for being independent and when you're independent you work harder but the payoff is better. You keep more money and you don't have the pressure of having to change your style for mainstream America. Look at Mistah Fab they threw him on the shelf. Now you got East Coast cats (Jim Jones) talking about there trying to do the independent shit because there's more money for the artist. Remember at the end of the day it's about feeding your family not being on mtv or bet.

on some real shit, dude is taking care of his family, being a role model/great father to his kids, shakes the haters off like feathers in the wind and handles his business...some of y'all think that being on t.v. and getting signed to a major is EVERYBODY'S goal in this business. Some people get into it to be able to take care of themselves and their families and there aint nothing wrong with that. With that all being said, Quinn is gonna blow up somehow, whether it's rap, becoming a motivational speaker, whatever....cause if any of you know him on a personal level, there's too much he has to offer the world to let it be bottled up. And if it is music that gets him that worldwide recognition, then watch the fuck out cause it's gonna be ridiculous.
PLUS HE COULD BE A COMEDIAN AND BLOW UP IF ALL ELSE FAILS...AND THATS THE TRUTH

I dont think will ever "blow up". You guys gotta get the idea out of your head that someone other than 40 will be popular from the Bay.

Take Quinn for what I do, an above-average emcee that makes good regional music, if I had a major label, I wouldn't sign him.

40 will not be the only big rapper from the bay! That's just small minded! The scene just started to grind again, just takes a few singles like Kenny said

mf's been askin this question for about a decade now. u gotta wonder when its really gonna happen?

IMO Quinn's style doesnt have national appeal, and prolly never will. its not solely lyrical ability that gets a rapper to the major, its lyrical skill and ability to make songs that get played major in the clubs, and get good videos that make u wanna watch the shit even tho the song might already be played out.. so quinn has a long way to go, and doesnt seem to be workin on the other 2 aspects he's lackin.
