mrraskal- get a program called Goldwave.. you can minimize most vocals out of a song. i been tryin to get the instrumentals to 'Dawn 2 Dawn.' or you can edit a song and loop it to an instrumental.

it can be done but the vocals will remain in the background not loud enuff to catch unless your trying to hear it..i remeber going to guitar center and one of the sales men talked me out of it be cause there is no 100% way to do it with that equipment they had..

It can be done with Eq but when you do it you cut out frequencies other parts of the mix also use and it will sound horrible there would be a big hole in your mix and there would still be nuances of the cut out vocal in there no matter what and the more frequencies you would cut the more it would fuck up the shit you were trying to keep in a 2 track stereo mix. Like someone else said on;y way it can be done is if you have access to the master and you mute the vocals out even then depending on if it was a live session or something the vocals might still be in there cuz the mics from other instruments might have picked it up still

ive done it with a program called acid pro. but its a pain in the ass. you have to cut and slice parts of the beat then sync them up together to make one continuous beat. you can add you own loops to it to help make it easier though like a drum fill or something
