I actually just turned it on too. I only caught the last part where he told Kanye to come on his show and fight (which was an obvious joke) but knowing Colbert there was something more serious behind it. Then he pulled that cardboard cut out of Mike Myers saying something about it being his people. I'll catch it again later. One of my favorite, and definately one of the funniest shows on television.

Did I miss the part where he murdered him?
well saying the freecredit report .com guys are ahead of him in line to be the voice of this generation, thats pretty cold. and putting emphasis on the fact that kanyes quote was grammatically incorrect had me laughing a bit

Stephen Colbert Outsells Kanye West On iTunes

Last night Colbert declared mission accomplished in “Operation Humble Kanye” as he sat at no. 2 and 808s dropped to no. 4 on the iTune charts. Colbert fueled the beef boasting that Al Roker declared him the real “voice of this generation,” and proceeded to invite Ye to fight on the show.-Michael Cohen

"you want to be the voice of the generation? with all that autotuning on your album you arent even the voice of your own album"

calling Kanye a sunglass display mannequin

constant mocking of kanyes quote "the voice of this generation of this decade"

maybe not murder...but great roasting. kanye knows better than to ever respond. colbert is one of the funniest and wittiest characters ive seen on tv in a while
