We have studied administrators of 8 different presidents: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, John Tyler, and James K. Polk. During the terms of each president, important domestic and foreign events occurred. Select 5 of the presidents listed above and choose one domestic and one foreign event that occurred during each president's term in office. Choose events you feel were most important historically. Explain what each event was or what happened (10 points each, 50 points), then explain why you feel that event was most important event during that president's administration (10 points each. 50 points).
For example, you might choose George Washington, listing the most important domestic event was his handling of the Whiskey Rebellion, and the most important foreign event occurring in his administration was the issuing of the Proclamation of Neutrality.
